Description

  Sundew is not the social butterfly. She enjoys playing the piano, writing, and looking at fish and other swamp creatures. It wasn't necessarily that she disliked other deliverers, but more so that interacting with them was just so stressful and foreign to her. Evidently, she was not exactly overjoyed when one of her friends suggested she attend the Acorn Squash Dance. She politely declined, not thinking much of it, but her friend was determined to get her to go. After weeks of nudging, begging, and bribing, Sundew finally caved and agreed to attend the dance, under the condition that they leave if she began to feel too uncomfortable.

  The night arrived and Sundew nearly had a panic attack. How was she supposed to act? Was she too formal or not formal enough? What if someone she didn't know came up to her? What was she supposed to say? This was a bad idea. All these thoughts were swirling through her mind as she began to leave, when she heard something that completely stole her attention. A graceful melody, harmonious and elegant.

   It played through the evening, constantly changing its lovely tune, sad, joyful, curious, dancing through the crowd. It made its way to Sundew and took her away to a place she had never been before. Her mind followed the music as though it told a story, of love, then loss, then adventure. It was a wordless story filled with wonder and beauty and grace.

The song came to its end.

Without even realizing it, Sundew had made her way to the piano, as though a harmonious spell had been cast upon her. An elegant Deliverer slowly lifted her claws away from the piano, opening her eyes and looking up at Sundew. Without a word, they shared an unspoken glance only two musicians might know. The Deliverer shifted over and motioned Sundew to sit. It was there they remained the entire night, never needing to speak a word, communicating only through their music. The night became late and the two ended the late evening with an improvised lullaby duet. Slowly rising away from the piano, Sundew and the elegant Deliverer smiled and bid each other farewell.

  Sundew walked silently through the night with her tired friend, who was surprised but pleased that she had stayed so long and enjoyed the dance. Sundew only nodded with a smile on her face as she continued to hum the melody she had heard on that lovely evening.

So yea! I hope you all enjoyed that! Sundews a bit shy, but play her a bit of music and she’ll come right out of her shell! Some details regarding her design:
-She has a firefly that just kinda chills in a crack in her wooden face, so her eyes will sometimes glow!
-When she goes swimming, sometimes little fish will come and stay in the cracks in her wood that get covered up by a clear layer of algae to keep the water in! Sundew absolutely loves this, as the little fish keep her company!
-Regarding her outfit, the green draped stuff is green algae, with the trim being made of grass and a tiny bird skull she once found. She has a little sundew in her hair (made of willow leaves) and waterlily petal spikes along her back in addition to lilypads on her tail! Her claws are made of stones that were wedged between the wood.

-She lives in a swamp and is based on an alligator! She made her piano herself, using logs, vines, leaves, and other materials!
