WAITING FOR THE WITCHING HOUR
The witching hour is the time when supernatural creatures such as witches, demons and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful, and black magic at its most effective. This hour is typically midnight but can also refer to the period from midnight to 3am, It is also know as the hour of the wolf, being between night and dawn. [link]

I wish to dedicate 'Witching Hour' to and for being very special people as well as talented artists. Thank you both for the support and also to Miriel for the laughs.

The wolf reminds me of Ghost from Game of Thrones. Beautiful work.

it's very blue
on a more serious note I really like it..
I like the blueness , and the way it's been placed
together flawlessly .. the story behind it also makes
the image come to life

excellent job

I can't deny it, very blue In actual fact a bit bluer than I meant it to be. I can't calibrate the monitor with PS like I could before and so I view it in three other programs, more or less guessing at the outcome...still, you have to admit it is different. Thank you for the kind words Jodi

even if it's bluer then you expected , or intended for it to be,
it's still a lovely piece

you're welcome

Thank you Jodi. A real downer when I realised that CS4 doesn't come with Adobe Gamma. I had CS2 perfectly co-ordinated with Harvey Norman's Fuji printers
I can't use sRGB or any of the other colour settings as there is a sepia cast. The only one I can use is the monitor setting, which may look fine for me but be completely different to what I intend on a different monitor. I think I will reinstall CS2, which was the last version to include Adobe Gamma, rather than buy a new program to do the same thing. Hopefully, I will be able to run both version and fix the problem.

you're welcome
I have CS3 and CS4 ..
personally, I'm so in love with CS3 I don't
like CS4 , dnno , for me it's the appearance
of the program itself , not so much as how it
actually runs.
but I knew there was something rather wrong with it
and you saying that it doesn't have gamma proves my
point
but if it helps you any, you can have both programs
installed - not sure with CS2 , but with CS3 you
cannot run the two programs together ..

cemac In reply to jodipheonix [2009-10-08 15:02:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it is a real PITA, which leaves no option other than to buy another program to do what CS2 had already included. I love the new features in CS4 but I would change them for Adobe gamma.....still, I will install CS2 on the weekend and see if it fixes it. Not sure of anything with this PC. I didn't know how lucky I was with the last one
Last week I saw two blue wrens, both with several females, camera in hand I crept into thick bushland and followed them for ages but despite scratches and prickles got nothing else....they are so quick. You are Jodi

jodipheonix In reply to cemac [2009-10-09 00:05:54 +0000 UTC]

hopefully re-installing cs2 will help.
I wish you luck

yes , they're VERY quick to say
the very least about them ..
it depends how ansy I am about them and
how badly I want a photo..

I will follow them if they don't stick
around , but .. I will also stand / sit
and wait patiently for them to come close
for me to snap a few shots ..

I guess I'm lucky with the Ibis Rookery
a lake and bird sanctuary here in town where
a wide variety of birds come to .. them
being one of the many varieties ..
so they tend to stick around a bit for the
different weird and wonderful insects found
there in the bush.
it's really a nice location , and eventhough
it's sort of a public place (they've got utilities
there for us humans to use) the animals are still
quite wild , and don't come too close ..
with acception to the wrens that like to bounce
a matter of inches away from my feet.

It is strange with 'Witching Hour' the things you have included in the artwork it is like you know me so well!

Thanks again x

It takes me around 2-3 weeks in short shifts for each artwork and I have stared at you for so long, I really feel that I know you quite well. The things I inluded seemed to fit with you very well. If at any time you wish to have a 15"x10" 300dpi copy of artwork which includes you, message me and I can upload it to photobucket. I really should include this message to all stock providers in the description and will do so from now on. I really am very grateful to you and everyone on dA who provides stock.
