Dumb Luck: As is normal with the luck strain, Sal is abnormally lucky. Though it more happens more by chance when he's not paying attention to it. Like he gets distracted by something and turns his head absent mindedly and avoids getting smacked in the face an unknown assailant and they end up falling face first into the floor.

Foresight: Sal gets these gut feelings about things at times. Like he might feel like it's going to rain so he says something, and by luck it actually does rain. It's more of these lucky guesses he gets about the future than actually seeing into it. Sometimes he's not right too, but it can be helpful when he feels it right.

Sal is always on the lookout for the truth and will go to any lengths to get it, as he has in the past. While Sal isn't stupid, he can be a little bit of an oblivious doof and doesn't understand the meaning of subtlety in most cases. He's a loud mouth in multiple senses, he doesn't really use an 'indoor voice'. The only time he sobers up and quiets down is when he's in investigator mood. While he isn't a complete douche, Sal is really blunt and tends to speak his mind on people and things, whether it's appropriate or not doesn't matter.

History:
Salvatore Costanzo was born in Italy but his parents moved over to the states when he was a young age, supposedly for a job. Sal grew up as normal as he could with how often they seemed to move around, it forced him to be proactive about getting friends quickly after each move. He liked to be a social butterfly even at a young age. He was always a spunky kid and stayed eccentric through to adulthood when he moved on his own and went to college for journalism.

The young go getter quickly got a job in New York as a tabloid reporter and pretty much a member of the paparazzi for a large company. Salvatore got quite the reputation as being a go to man, able to get the best of the worst pictures and stories of the high and mighty.

He was on a good streak for a couple years before he learned a little too much and pushed someone just too far. The man, in a stressed frenzy, shot multiple times at Sal, hitting him in the arm, leg, and abdomen. Salvatore got quickly rushed to the hospital when people were attracted by the attention and got treated for the wounds. Unfortunately, the bullet in his legs wasn’t found or removed which ended in a heavy infection. Sal was reluctant to go back to the hospital when he first noticed the signs and waited too long. He had to have his leg amputated from the knee down and replaced with a robotic one.

After this incident, he was put on a desk job of writing columns for the news company he was at. They said he needed to take it easy, but he knew it was because he was becoming a problem in his tendency to go too far with people. This is when he stumbled upon the info of ZETA and thought there was just something fishy about it all, being as suspicious as he is. He tried to find someone to come with him and the only one was the camera intern, Tyler Delacroix.

The two went to Mangetsu and started to sniff around. One day during this, the incident happened. There was an explosion and the Italian man instantly tried to get cover behind the wall that was his camera man. Tyler got knocked over and Sal went to go check him out, only to get punched in the face. After this they both ended up in the hospital, unknowingly infected. Salvatore managed to live through secondary infection and developed into a Beta strain, of luck of all things. He doesn’t know he’s infected still, not noticing his increase of luck.

The pair has continued to snoop about the island, finding something odd about the whole thing. Sal is especially suspicious of the time at night when no one is allowed out.

-The reason his parents moved around is that they were avoiding the Italian mafia, Sal never knew about it or if people are still out for him now by relation.
-His ID Mate is a pen that projects a journal themed screen for him to use, it comes with a headset for use of phone calls
-His ID mate can also be set to a record mode, he’ll put it in his pocket and secretly record people’s conversations.
-Sal can speak English and Italian
-He regularly watches out his apartment window with binoculars, looking for anything weird
-He has a small digital camera on him most of the time, he still has a knack for getting the best worst pictures like when he was in the paparazzi
