Quick Attack - An amazingly speedy strike executed by blade, claw, or fist. Preceding movements appear to be nothing but a blur as he closes the distance between himself and his target before they're even able to react accordingly.

Fury Cutter - Using a blade or his own claws, he savagely strikes at the target, with each successful hit motivating him to hit harder and faster. A miss will cause him to stagger and lose his focus momentarily.
Foresight - Channeling his energies and calming his mind, he closes his eyes briefly and focus’ on his target using his other senses. This enables him to make physical contact with ethereal beings and capable of tracking the movements of more agile targets.

- CLOTHING OF CHOICE: Jonas’ clothing of choice is for anything as nondescript as possible. The easier to blend in the better; but his overall preference lies with earthy colored, breathable, lightweight, and reversible articles that are loose enough to allow for concealed weapons and quick movements.
- ACCESSORIES: Jonas always carries with him a pair of concealed daggers worn on a custom harness and a healthy stash of throwing knives stored in one of his two waist bound satchels.
- PERSONALITY: Jonas loves to hang out in dark places and the background of any environment to casually eavesdrop on conversations for the latest bit of news. Finding out what people want/need is almost second nature to Jonas. Women make him uneasy; not simply out of fear, but more so out of cautious respect and from what little experience he’s had with them on his travels. While he normally has a somewhat abrasive attitude toward strangers he is quick to welcome those who have a particular aura of honesty about them. He’ll loosen up on his behavior for acquaintances and will act accordingly in the presence of more upstanding individuals, and potential marks. He strongly prefers swordplay than ranged combat; but he is rather adept in either field so those believing this preference to be a weakness would be in for a nasty surprise when he whips out his stash of throwing knives. While still a strong believer in second chances, Jonas is not afraid to get his hands dirty to get the job done should he have to. Years of being on the run from the Navy have only served to sharpen his wit and abilities.
- HISTORY:
Jonas knew he was different at an early age. Having questioned about his origins to his foster parents, the Furret couple explained to him that they took in a what they assumed was a burdened fellow Furret traveler that they encountered on the road one stormy night. It wasn’t until they arrived home that they realized the Furret was a female with a child soon to be. After spending a few days with the couple little Jonas was born; however the mother died soon after. Having been unable to conceive a child of their own, they decided to look after the child and gave proper respects to the unknown mother.

Where most Sentret children are inquisitive and timid folk, Jonas was particularly more brazen and willing to take higher risks than the others. He made quick friends with a like minded and headstrong Kira Dreyden, a Scyther girl whom often joined him in his mischievous escapades around town whenever they weren’t bogged down with studies. While concerning to most onlookers and his foster parents, Jonas’ actions were interpreted only as an odd quirk in the child’s behavior and not given much thought. As he grew older his underlying predatory heritage became more and more evident. His peers and elders alike would often comment on how Jonas embodied the statement “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”; the appearance of a prey species but the internal workings of a true predator.

Jonas took to the needle rather well seeing how his father mended sails and his mother tailored garments. They dealt frequently with shipwrights and sailors alike; yet the Furret couple remained adamant in the youth’s education and forging of a proper moral center. Even as their focus’ in life changed, Jonas and Kira continued to bump into one another from time to time. Despite their vastly different lifestyles, their friendship remained strong. It was in this time of his life that he also acquired a fondness for swordplay. In between his studies, work at his parent’s trade young Jonas still found time to hone and develop his skill with the blade with the help of a locally retired Liepard Navy officer.

The Liepard never spoke much of his past but after many a session, the older Liepard often spoke highly of Jonas and how much he reminded him of his crimson colored Liepard son and his ambition. Young Jonas was enamored with the possibilities of his new talent and what service in the Navy would be like. As soon as he was of age, with his foster parents’ blessings, Jonas went off to join the Navy. He went on to serve proudly aboard a Navy vessel until his skills caught the attention of a particular group of commanding officers.

They pulled him off front line duty to perform more sensitive tasks that the Navy itself could not be directly associated with such as the removal of people from places of power and spying on enemies to the crown. With additional training amongst similarly tasked and skilled individuals within the Navy’s employ, Jonas’ reputation continued to garner momentum. Despite the years of service under his new command and the free reign it provided him, he made every effort to remain true to his character. In doing so, Jonas took particular notice to how his superiors’ tolerance to his ethical behaviors on duty was beginning to wear thin.

How Navy folk often portrayed itself being above the common rabble was the largest thorn in his side. Although working outside and often beyond their limitations, he joined the Navy to serve and protect the common interest, not to dominate and oppress for the gain of one. Over time Jonas slowly began to realize just how deep the misplaced ideologies and the roots of corruption lay within the Naval command structure. It was only until after a successful raid on a “suspected” pirate shanty town that Jonas could not tolerate it any longer.

Upon discovering that the raid was simply a ploy to acquire the towns assets for future Navy expansion, Jonas refused to carry out further orders and called out his fellow men on their foul dealings and actions. Needless to say Jonas found himself very much outnumbered over the judgment call. Eager to be rid of this Furret liability, they turned the situation around to their advantage and pinned full blame of the raid on Jonas. Jonas stated he would rather die than let them continue to spread their corruption any further. When approached for detainment, he quickly overpowered his would be captors and fled into the night.

Confused and betrayed by the ideal he dreamed of pursuing so long ago, Jonas kept to the shadows waiting for the right time to exact his vengeance. He watched their every movement, eventually forming a plan that would allow him to perform his final duty. He also kept an eye on the local populace for potential recruits to assist him in his endeavor. Initially, pickings were slim as the town consisted mostly of fishermen and inland traders however as time went on, more and more of the locals were becoming more proficient in self defense techniques.

Curious as to this development he trailed one of the locals to find the source of their new found talents. What he found shocked him nearly as much as the betrayal that was laid upon him. He was amused to find that they were being trained by a singular individual. What he found surprising was that the individual was a female Scizor, a Scizor with a sword technique that he clearly recalled from the days of his youth. Her red carapace and clawed hands only masked the fact that it was none other than an evolved Kira Dreyden. She was training the locals for coin; but to what purpose was beyond him.

He got his chance to ask her that question when a band of brigands raided the town for supplies. With reduced Navy guard detail patrolling the city, he presumed this was another one of their attempts at taking the town by indirect means through hired hands. Jonas found Kira by the smithy’s shop warding off some of the larger thugs. Their combined combat prowess was too much for the raiders whom reluctantly made a hasty retreat. After the shock of meeting an old friend finally wore off, the two shared their stories and their current predicaments.

Short on coin, Kira readily agreed to assist Jonas. He waited until the time was right to set his plan into motion. When darkness fell, the changing of the guard was his best opportunity to sneak into the newly established Navy outpost on the outskirts of town. The gang he recruited to distract them or to possibly engage them if it came to blows, would ensure his stealthy entrance. It was all flawless; the fires he set in the officer’s quarters and armory would render the Navy would be incapable of maintaining their presence in the area while the extra provisions and coin he liberated from their holds with Kira’s assistance would go a long ways to bolster the towns well being.

Knowing full well that the Navy would strike back with a vengeance, he made quick work of dispersing the spoils in an orderly fashion among the gang he recruited. It pained him knowing that he had to distance himself from Kira once again, but he couldn’t risk getting her involved in his problems. The two spent the rest of the night enjoying each others company before they said their farewells under the basking rays of the sunrise.

Ever since then Jonas portrays himself as simple tailor traveling from port to port in search of somewhere to set up shop and practice his trade, occasionally paying a visit to his Scizor friend when the Navy patrols are thin enough. However past habits are hard to suppress and more often than not, for the right price, Jonas will occasionally provide other more specialized services such as fencing stolen goods, exchange of information, or a portion of his time as a hired hand.
