Description

This is another example to explain how Nazca lines could have been done. Again, human silhouette are here to give an idea of the scale.

The head of the reptile is made with the head of the squid. The rest of the shadow is tentacle. Most of cephalopods have tentacle that as long as their head. Because of that we can approximately place the light source, admitting that the angle between top of tentacle, light and basis of the tentacle is approximately the same than the angle between basis of tentacle, light and extremity of the head.

It makes this Nazca drawing one of the rare that couldn’t have been done with light directly above the drawing.

This will for sure be a series of drawings, I would like to do, at least the tarantula, the monkey, the flamingo and the tree. To be continued^^
