Description
Here is another cephalopod fake god. This time it is from Hindu culture. At the time Himalaya didn’t exist yet, India was an island, so maybe lands which are human territory now, once was territory of a clever cephalopod.
Again this squid won’t be able to support his own weight on dry land. This time the solution choose to fix this problem been to support the head of the squid with what looks like a helmet. The helmet is stuck a sort of ring that is laid on the ground. So it looks like it is siting, whereas in fact it is hanging to the helmet.
Eyes are the real eyes of the squid. Trunk is made of two smaller tentacles. Tusks are made by making the two attack tentacles show up a little. Ears are made using a fold of membrane. Arms and legs are tentacles. The belly is made using membrane and maybe a hidden round object to make volume.
The big belt doesn’t hide genitals, but an absence of genitals (as a mask could possibly hide the absence of a face). The necklace helps to form a neck. The siphon of the squid is hidden by the helmet; it also may hide a water distribution system. I like to imagine that lotus flowers grow around those gods because of this water alimentation. Also, if the siphon was seeable it could look like a third crying eye.

Thanks. I should maybe ad a non-mimicking squid at the side of my other drawings too.
Next ones are going to be about Sumerian gods and Moche (north Peru) gods:

I know him only from his reputation. I have to admit I never really read his work, but I suppose that in the world we live you can know as much about Cthulhu without reading Lovecraft than you can know about Jesus without reading the bible^^.
Even if they are not depicting authentic Lovecraftian beings I placed those drawings into Lovecraftian groups because of the method I used do them.
I made the hypothesis that ancient gods representations was not ‘arbitrary’, but made by using descriptions from people who didn’t really understood what they seen. So I tried to draw what those hypothetical men could have seen, making it, this time, as understandable as possible by using very clear colors and texture.
In some of the descriptions I seen, about Cthulhu for example, Lovecraft seem to insist one the fact its protagonists can’t really understand what they see. This, and the fact my work been mainly influence by ancient astronauts theory (which probably wouldn’t have existed without Lovecraft’s work) made me think that Lovecraftian fans could be adapted spectators.
I’m a big fan of Plato’s cave allegory, and from what I saw about Lovecraftian themes it looks like he also was. So, if maybe you can recommend one of his book where this subject is developed it would very be appreciate (I feel kind of shitty to be in those groups despite I only seen movies and videogames about Lovecraft universe ^^’’’).

Well spoken.
I would personally recommend "At the Mountains of Madness". The deep resonating theme is that we were a joke or a mistake, and that we - who didn't understand the concept of extraterrestrial beings and worshiped them as gods.
