Carrie Larson had to be careful in the city plaza. They were on to her scam, and the Hosh League were no one to betray. Those tech mutants would do anything to get back at her for the flawed chips she had sold them.

Now, all she had to do was get Veecher, the hacker, to make her a new travel pass. If she could make it to the outer zones, then she'd be scot free. The Hosh techs were afraid to travel too far out from the city. If their internal GPS programs failed to hook up with a satellite, then they'd be lost in the dead zones forever. They relied too heavily on tech that they could no longer read a basic map.

But as long as Carrie was in the city, they could track her.

She had to move fast...
