I just finished this book called, 'The Hollow Places' by T. Kingfisher, and found it to be a delightful read. It's about a young woman and her friend who get trapped in this alternate world where creatures either eat you or want to alter you. Anyway, I was surprised at how good it was. Not only did it have me intrigued from the very beginning, but it was quite exciting all the way through. In some ways, it was both a horror and a sci-fi, which for me is a real treat, since I love both of those genres.

The picture above was to a scene within the book, where they come across an entire school bus that had been brought there from some other world altogether. I won't say what happens on the bus to the poor children, but it's pretty dark. The whole book was spooky. And I love the dark adventure that they go on.

Anyway, I recommend it to anybody who likes horror. I love reading books and get elated when I find something that's intriguing. Do you have any books to recommend to me? I would love to know. Right now I am reading Clive Barker's 'The Scarlet Gospels'. I'm only a few chapters in, but it seems good. Though I am a little disappointed that Pinhead has been turned into a demon. He's a Cynobite (I know I spelled that wrong) But the Cynobites are something different, right? Like dimension travelers or something? I dunno. Just not what I remember. But it is his creation. Anyhow, if you know of a good book, please let me know. I would love to check it out.
