Your math is accurate, I once drew a Torduken, half tortoise, half duck, half chicken...

Powerful duck wings with a shelled body and strong chicken legs that end in webbed hybrid feet.  Can fly, swim, run, and dive for extended periods of time.  Can also peck with it's duckbill, scratch with it's talons, or tuck into it's shell and slam into things from the air or water like a bullet/torpedo.

Alligator has a u-shaped snout vs a v-sharp snout. Also alligator teeth interlock into the jaw, and crocodile do not interlock. So when alligator mouth is shut, you see pretty much no teeth but crocodiles you can some visible. Alligator eat more on mammal vs crocodiles that feed more aquatic life, but in reality they will both eat almost any thing that moves and they can bring down even other of their own kind. Also alligator cannot reach the size of some crocodile species, and all alligator live in freshwater but crocodile can live in fresh and saltwater.
