Panel 2: "Ever since I'm a fox, I can't help but smashing..." This doesn't really work in English. Getting the easy part out of the way, "smashing" should really be "smash" for the sake of tense agreement.
The more complicated issue comes with the use of "ever since". As a phrase, "ever since" is used to indicate time, specifically a period of time starting at an inciting incident. Because of this, the basic structure is "ever since
The tricky part of this is, of course, that without the 'ever', the word 'since' can also be used in the same manner as 'because'. This means that "Since I'm a fox, I can't help but smash..." is an equally valid phrase. That said, in this context it's a bit less valid due to the phrase identifying the foxiness as the reason for the smashing, while the VIB expresses confusion over why it's occurring.
