From the Uncanny X-Men, the hottest male and female mutants ever!

First of all, this is an ancient pic. It was the first finished pic I drew of Marvel characters; before then all I'd drawn were finished pics of Dragon Quest, or Marvel sketches during class.

It was harder to draw Marvel characters because they have distinct facial features, unlike DQ's designs, which look slightly more alike, and depend on clothes and hair styles to be identified.

This was also the first pic I drew inspired by a song. In this case, Savage Garden's "I don't know you anymore". Savage Garden has inspired me to draw a lot of pics. Some were sketched around the time I drew this, in 2003, I believe, but I haven't given myself the time to draw them properly. One of them features Angelo Espinosa, I hope I can draw that one soon (I haven't yet because it'd need furniture in the BG, and I'm lazy).

This was also inspired by the time after Gambit's trial, when the part of his personality that lived inside Rogue and blamed himself for the Mutant Massacre decided to leave him to die in Antarctica, followed by repeated attempts by Rogue to rescue him, while she, too, blamed herself for abandoning the love of her life.

maybe I shouldn't have called but someone had to be the first to break.

Springtime in the city
always such relief from the winter freeze;
the snow was more lonely than cold if you know what I mean.
Everyone's got an agenda, don't stop,
keep that chin up, you'll be alright;
can you believe what a year it's been? Are you still the same?
