I gave the Starcraft creature a redesign for a contest sponsored by Blizzard. For the eyes, I tried a more souless, bug eye effect. I also spiked up his dorsal side up to his head for close-quarter, bull-rushing attacks. The back now has two large spikes instead of one. I left the underside of his neck and arm muscles exposed like the original design but made him more beefy. His color scheme is more earthly for camouflage in the environment I will be placing him in.Created entirely in ZBrush.
Full view to see the detail. I particularly liked the way the muscles came out.

this is awesome. just make the texture a little matte and it'll pass for a photograph of an actual toy.

thats pretty neat. my only criticism would be its all-over shinyness, imo the mouth and/or the teeth should be more shiny than the skin, and the skin shinier than the claws etc. but otherwise really cool.

I have played starcraft since I ws probably five. I am a huge fan of this design. You are extremely creative and after viewing the rest of your gallery, a genuinely talented artist, keep it up!

back when I was a noob the first game of online starcraft was literally a nightmare. I had 10 marines and suddenly 30 hydralisks and even more zerglings rushed in and basically slaughtered everyone. no survivors XD

My roommate and I lost a lot of sleep over those games. He once told me that he dreamt "starcraft" to the point where he was controlling the cars outside in our parking lot like Terran units. We got a good laugh and stopped soon after.

i see lol yeah starcraft gets preatty addicting.Like last time when i used to wake up so early in the morning just to play starcraft all the way till like 10 PM or 11.Until my comp broke down
