I disagree with *silhouet on the border, because I think it definitely adds a little dramatic effect to the picture, together with the negative space on the right and the IR-like toning.
On his other comments I cannot say much, because I'm totally not a techie photographer. I like or dislike something for the emotion it invokes in me.
Anyways, I'm not partial very much to the ring itself, but I do like the picture.

glad u like the border and the pic on its own.i tried lots of techniques in this pic. i like how it turned out tho there are a minority of things even i as the artist would like to see differend. but i feel good about this picture, thnx for your comment

I do not like this all that much ..
The idea is good but the result is a little bit less imho, and I tell you why I think that ...

The ring seems a bit blurry and to rough on all edges... maybe try the " unsharp mask" filter?
The colours are very strange.. I like it on the background but for the ring I think it does not work all that well, they look a bit to saturated ..., maybe a bit less saturation would make the feel of the colours different ...but I'm not sure ...
And I really do not like the border .. it does not add something to the picture .. it takes draws away my eye from the ring which I do not like ... I think this is a result from the "3 parts" bordering.....

Keep in mind that these are just my opinions ....

WOW thnx for the awsome critique this might be the best comment ever. a straight and honest awnser.
Well the ring edges are sharp and stuff.... but its due to the fact this ring is made of cupper and they put fake silver around... when i noticed that (it was a 2 euro ring LOL) i painted transluctant nailpolish over it...to keep it silver, but itdoes caus the blurr and i dont like that myself either. I do like the colors tho, kinda funky
so thnx for the comment, this is much appreciated... i'll see how i can put ur critique to good use

thnx its actually not even a real macrofunction i have on my cam LOL but sive its a 5 MP i can make my pics quit large without loosing sharpness to it im really happy with this pic. THNX!

ever more getting more technical, I envy photographers, all I have to work with is 26 letters and a few numbers and you have a infinite number of colours and techniques to work with...
