For those wondering, this isn't Max, this is actually Maya. Because Maya deserves some fanart too. <3I really loved her in the books and she didn't deserve what JP did to her. QHQ Anyway felt like drawing some fanart of her since there really isn't enough out there. The background looks horrible but it's almost 4 am and i'm already running on very little sleep so i can't be bothered to fix the background.
The lyrics behind her are both awesome songs that remind me of Maya in a way, Numb by Linkin Park because it's an awesome song and the words just remind me of Maya's struggle to be different from Max later on in the books, and then Let it go from the movie Frozen because she defies what she was made for and becomes her own person sort of, and that's really awesome.
Also the t-shirt is kind of meant to be ironic in a way, ahaha i want to make an Ari one with the word YOLO on it, cookie to the person who gets it.

Yes, I agree, Maya deserves fanart, as well. (I've searched, and she doesn't have as much as I thought she would. Hm.)
And I just wanted to say all of the songs you wrote in the background are great. I love both of them, and they really fit her character well, I think. Especially Numb by Linkin Park. (I swear that song doesn't get enough love, either.)
ANYWAY, this is a great drawing. You should be very proud.

Yeah, i searched for pictures of her but it's difficult to find her... you always find Max...
They're both some of my fav songs. XD Perfect by simple plan is also an awesome song for her i think? I'm not sure i need to go listen again, but there's so many songs that fit mutants in general.

Yeah, and while I love Max, Maya was an interesting character, too. And a big part of the story. I didn't like what JP did to her.
AHHH. YOU KNOW SIMPLE PLAN?! THANK YOU. (I'm sorry. No one I've talked to knows who Simple Plan is! Not even the people I hang out with at school know them. I think we could be best friends, haha.) And yes, I agree. To be honest, there are a LOT of songs that could fit her character. AND YES. SO MANY SONGS. I find myself going through my MP3 and going, "Oop. That's Fang." or "HEY, Maya!" or even, "OMG. NUDGE."
I'm sorry. I'm probably starting to get on your nerves. I'm a bit of a Nudge myself, if you couldn't tell, haha.

She was, and JP really didn't treat her well, he just randomly got rid of her, there was nothing special about it, he probably just wanted to free Fang up again because Fax. QHQ

I KNOW. I just- She deserved a much better ending. I'm glad someone agrees with me on the fact. It's not that I don't like Fax- I mean. I just. UGH. HE SHOULD BE NICER TO MAYA. *sobs* I have so many emotions. Too many.
I LOVE THEM. It's alright, I do too. If anyone were to go through my MP3, I'm pretty sure I'd be getting a lot of strange looks. Yeah, it really does. Which is why I can ALWAYS count on internet friends~! Usually it's a common interest that brings them together, anyway. ^_^ I DO THAT ALL THE TIME. This might sound weird but- I listen to music everyday on the busride to school, and when I do, I get these little... Scenarios? that run through in my head, like little movies, like when you're reading a book and it comes alive in your head. Never fails.

so sorry for the lateness of this reply but i've been busy and my messages have been piling up(finally getting to those at the very bottom)

Yeah, he should treat maya like maya, not like someone who could possibly be his new Max, but he later kind of treats her okay i think?(i can't remember throught he tears)
XD true true, i've found though that clubs/organizations also help, like i joined our campus radio station(on the behind the scenes things) and during our camping trip i've spoken to so many of the others who share my interests and things and we talked for hours! It was awesome. That doesn't sound weird at all, i've got those moments myself, but mostly i can sit in silence in a car ride as well and just imagine myself cranking open the window, spreading my wings, telling my mom or brother i'm going t ofly out ahead and just jump out and take flight. XD it's really awesome, and just when you stare up at a large building imagining where you can land, or imagining flying through a cloud or waving at someone iin a helicopter as they fly past you. It's the best, i'd love to animate so i could animate videos of the flock in those little head movies like you've said and just the scenes i sometimes get. XD

i actually wanted to do the pixie cut but i was sort of half asleep and couldn't for the life of me get it to look right and i couldn't really imagine how it would look, there was no picture in my mind(thinking back now i should have googled hairstyles or something) XD but i've drawn Maya before with the pixie cut ages ago, and there just isn't enough art of her(but the fandom hates her, or a lot of those i've seen around, and i've run a fb page for her a few years ago, got lots of hate and sort of just ignored the page from then on out...) Aaanyway i'm babbling. The pixie cut would just be a lot to manage. XD ahaha i had my hair cut like it once and you need to keep it clean and pput wax in it and just do a lot of things to keep it nice looking.

I wanted Maya to end up with Dylan. They both have been rejected (sort of) and feel each other's pain. They're both clones as well... I see what you mean about the pixie cut. I had to look at a couple of photos to get Maya a good pixie cut when I drew her on my old account.
