For those wondering, this isn't Max, this is actually Maya. Because Maya deserves some fanart too. <3I really loved her in the books and she didn't deserve what JP did to her. QHQ Anyway felt like drawing some fanart of her since there really isn't enough out there. The background looks horrible but it's almost 4 am and i'm already running on very little sleep so i can't be bothered to fix the background.
The lyrics behind her are both awesome songs that remind me of Maya in a way, Numb by Linkin Park because it's an awesome song and the words just remind me of Maya's struggle to be different from Max later on in the books, and then Let it go from the movie Frozen because she defies what she was made for and becomes her own person sort of, and that's really awesome.
Also the t-shirt is kind of meant to be ironic in a way, ahaha i want to make an Ari one with the word YOLO on it, cookie to the person who gets it.

Great job, and the background looks lovely, I think the songs fit her really well too! Poor Maya does deserve more fan art

For some reason I never imagined Maya ever looking like Max, she would always has this darker edge to her which may me love her ;w;
Also one of the reasons I couldn't finish the last book

I imagine her looking like Max since that was what she was made to be, but later on when she came back i started to imagine all her differences. xD but yes, darker edge but maybe more girly? Ahaha she's awesome, i feel so sorry for her <33 QnQ but have you managed to finish the last book though?

Hahahaha Nope. QnQ I got really mad at it halfway through with Fang's army. And than my friend mentioned what the ending was and I just don't think I want to even try to read it. JP really messed it up for me OTL
It still looks awesome though,Way better than mine. When I do backgrounds I just slap some dots in blinding colors and call it done.

oooh, i think i know what you mean, that's actually a pretty cool look for her when i think about it, almost rocker girl like? Aha i used to buy these magazines with pages of fasion and then they'd have one outfit for each of 4 'types' of wearers, like skatergirl, beachbabe, rockerchick and then earthy something or another i think? I can't remember but they were always different, and the rockerchick might have fitted her? XD girly but still badfreakingass.
Awww....Yeah i had to read it for myself, it wasn't that bad a read, but i have my own idea of how the story should have ended, so even if i read it in my mind it ended differently, i don't know if you've read Phoenixfanatic's diary of a lovesick mutant? but that's sort of my headcanon for how the books went, sort of a whole clusterfuck of timelines and things like homestuck with no one ending being the one how it really ended? XD if that even makes sense.
Those blinding colours and dots look good though, that's usually what i try(just more pastally or faded so the character stands out) but it's so difficult doing the dot things when Sai doesn't do it for me. XD #lazyass.
