Yeah, she's an infamous woman pirate that they used in AC Black Flag. ouo
They're design has a similar hair style when it's down.
You've improved on your faces, by the way. ^^ Good work! Keep it up
You're welcome!

Yup. ^^
Oh really? ouo I do, too. It's fun to draw.
Me too, shading is a pain in gimp especially. D;

No, it's not... quo
You should definitely try looking into Clipstudio, though.

Omigosh, I can't even describe to you how amazing this program is!! quq
I have to warn you, the demo does not allow you to save, but you can print screen if you wish to save it in a seperate file before you've paid for the full.
It is pressure sensitive, though, and has specifically designed brushes and pencils for the program; such as, draker shades of pencils (You know like those gray tone ones?) that WORK like a pencil would!
They have watercolor brushese, all sorts of things!
Even picture brushes with houses and fences, flowers, plants, ect..

hmmm?
owh ok then
waowww i'll check it!
that would be nice to experiment with ^^
though i don't really like pict brushes
do u use clipstudio as well now?

Mrowgi In reply to cha4os [2016-03-12 22:45:43 +0000 UTC]
You definitely should! >v<
I have tried it out once, but I'm just waiting until I can get the money I need to buy it before using it again.
I would like having the ability to save and come back to a project since I take longer than my friend TeraStormTAS and can't normally finish a piece within the day, for Digital at least.
I'm faster on paper. ^^
I am definitely going to use it often once I do, though! It definitely beats Gimp. Everything is so conveniently placed for easy and quick use.

ok than!
well digital is hard.. even if they "speed up" things.. but they also make us to create a better art, thanks to the limitless possibility (limitless color, transform tool, undo, etc) which means better art = more time.. so basically it's the same xD
oh i see..
well gud luck on getting the money then! ^^
would like to see those in action!

Mrowgi In reply to cha4os [2016-03-19 04:30:50 +0000 UTC]
I'd say it's more time consuming than anything, not so much harder to draw then paper. My eyes also start hurting after a time.
It takes more time to get what you want, but it can turn out better since you CAN undo and such. And they have special brush to do the work for you.
I wouldn't say that it's necessarily 'better' though. They both have their pros and cons. I do like layers, though; the possibilities are endless with what you can do.
Thanks! ^^ I think it will be a fun experience.

hmmm.. ur eye can't stand against the might of the computer?? u're not worthy! XD
yeah it does... however... picking value (light and dark) for painting is super hard on comp... D: 100 value option to consider all the time..
special brush help sometimes
yap layer is invincible! XD
hope so! ^^
do u work on some pict now?

Mrowgi In reply to cha4os [2016-04-01 01:24:22 +0000 UTC]
;A; XD I guess you have to get used to the long exposure of it. I'm normally doing it in dim lighting, though; that's probably where it starts... Or I've been on all day (Getting too focused) and later on realizing that my eyes hurt 'cause of the now dark room. That's usually when I decide to turn on a light. X'D
I agree. D: Sometimes I pick too dim colors, which just makes the colors look depressed.
I think I'll be using colored outline more often to lighten things up; I especially like the highlight and Shadow features in Clip Studio.
Special brushes definitely add a cool texture to your work.
Yup! I'm working on a Reylo (Rey and Kylo) drawing, based on a scene from the Croods. owo
Im getting close to finishing it; I've been practicing with Clip Studio.

yeahhh owhhh i see
Β
well personally i think u shouldn't draw in a dark room.. it can hurt ur eye... D:
stay in the light
yeahhh to many information on the color xD
ahh yeahh that's a good idea hmm i think i can help u a bit... u can copy the line layer and blur it.. and then u can apply some color on it and set it to overlay, after that mask it into the line layer (the original one)
it can give some finished look on the line.. i don't know if u gonna like the result or not.. but, meeh just try it XD
don't depends on special brush to much, sometimes they help, but it also can give u some digital looks which looks unnatural.. learn how to use them first
whoaaa can't wait to see it! ^^

Mrowgi In reply to cha4os [2016-04-03 05:49:03 +0000 UTC]
quq I'll try?
XD
I think I'll try that and see how it looks. ouo I never thought about touching up the line-art before. That would be interesting, if it works for me. Thanks for the tip!
Yeah, I've noticed how some things in digital do that, too. D: I like it looking, or feeling, more natural and flowing.
I actually finished it just yesterday (or the night before). =u=

Oh, by the way, I have a Twitter and Tumblr account now! ouo I even made a specific blog for Star Wars.

yeayy XD
don't fall to darkness XD lol
i don't know it either xD, i just saw someone comenting like Β that on facebook, LOL
rather than "photographic" brush, u can use texture brush instead
hooo the drawing looks nice!, however the shading part looks a bit muddy D:Β
hmm, i think u should think about where the lighting come form first before start shading, shading isn't just fll some color with dark and light, u must know where the light come from first.
weeeee why only starwars?
π: 0 β©: 1
Mrowgi In reply to cha4os [2016-04-11 00:48:58 +0000 UTC]
XD
I think I will try using a textured brush. That would might actually work nicely.
Yeah, I was having troubles. D: I also kind of got bored when I shaded Rey, so I didn't work so hard on hers...
I need a lot more practice, haven't really worked with digital for a while, and only recently I started to really work at shading again, including on traditional.
I'll try adding the light next time first, then. Like you said; you can't see where the shading will be without knowing where the light comes from.
Thanks for the tips. ^^
I dunno, following the craze, I guess? X'D I've really been into it lately, especially since I only really learned the story fully last year and started watching the Clone Wars with my friends. Then the Force Awakens came out, so you can see where my art took a turn.

yeaahhh i think it will look great!
well.. it put the artwork down, because the line is looking quiet good D:
try using hard brush first rather than just a soft brush everywhere, cell shading help a lot when it come to define where lighting come from
yap u should, always think where the lighting come from before start shading
no prob!
whaaattttu just saw the story full last year?
well i can see the hype clearly over there XDΒ
lol

I've actually been using these techniques you mentioned in these children's illustrations I've been doing, and...
Gosh, it really looks nice!
I learned how to use the light to direct my path for shading; I know I was over doing it before, and it was kind a improvised for the most part.
Now I see more direction and clarity; thanks so much!!
I've been practicing mostly with the watercolor brush (So awesome!). Gives a slight realistic feel to it.
And, yes, to an extent where I could remember the path and characters. Of course, I always knew who Darth Vadar was, but the rest was a blur to me.
So yeah... Got a little overly excited about it in the past year.
It's so great, though!

woooo i see
good for u !!
don't forget to spent more time thinking about where the lighting is placed on the object (cast shadow is important to add more depth)
i want to try it as well!!
i saw one of my friend using water color and... wow.. looks so cool! XD
hooo i see

Ah, I see. I'm introverted, so I understand not wanting to talk much, especially after a long day, or week, or busy schedule.
That's still good. I know I haven't been doing daily sketches either, though I think that will change drastically within this month and the upcoming months if I can get my webcomic going. I'm planning on doing a lot of concept drawings within the week, character designing, and most of all ship practice. Then I want to sketch out the pages to start of with, and present it to a few websites.
Very nice sketch! Lots of details. ^^ I like it; you gave it depth with your shading.
