You mentioned in the video that the Sapna thing was a tangent and I was really looking forward to another video on The Powerpuff Girls reboot mainly because I wanted to hear your opinions on the character designs and how you would improve them

I love both of these designs but I think I like the design on the left better. As cute as the other one is, something about her being deeper and more emotional than she appears really appeals to me.

The shorter and slightly chubby version of Sapna kind of reminds me of Alphys from Undertale or Eleanor from the 1980s Chipmunk cartoon.

This actually looks like something the original show may have used if they did this episode.

I think these concepts are WAY better than what the actual show provided. How sad is it that fans can come up with better ideas than writers?
I have little love love for the new Powerpuff Girls (as well as Teen Titans Go), as I see them as empty, soulless copies of the originals. Not saying that someone CAN'T like either of these cartoons... you'll just never convince ME that these are good shows.

It really says a lot when a fan can design a minor character and their backstory better than the show can.

I'm torn.
While I like the Sapna on the right more because of her innocence, I'd also like to see a few-episode long arc with the Sapna on the left "thawing" because of a forming relationship with the Professor & the girls.
Though, since PPG didn't really do long arcs, at least ones that come immediately to mind, to fit her in with an episode I'd go with the Sapna on the right.

I prefer the one on the right too. Not that there's anything wrong with the one on the left but she's coded like a basic "villain" character at first glance, which isn't really bad per se but common and overdone, especially on this series. I like how the one on the right is more obviously deserving of sympathy, people could actually latch on to her as a recurring romantic interest the same way Hinata from Naruto gained support. But the way she was actually realized was just so bland and safe, inoffensive but leaving nothing for the watchers to get attached to, like she was designed to be a one shot character.

Ikr? If I could rewrite the reboot, maybe have Professor Utonium try to find a way to cure his date of her arachnid affliction, or at the very least stabilize it so she won't go on a rampage every other minute.

Honestly, I think the PPG reboot gets way more hate than it deserves. It's not like it mocks you for ever having loved the original series, like TTG seems to love doing.

No. Cause TTG never promised itself as a reboot, is gleefully self-aware and willing to poke fun at itself, while doing it's own thing and not TRYING to be the original. PPGR TRIES to be a reboot and goes on and on about how it wants to live up to the legacy of the original while dropping the ball in EVERY CONCEIVABLE WAY. PPGR is nothing but broken promises. TTG never promised ANYTHING it didn't deliver on.
