Huh... Ya know I'd love to see Genndy Tartakovsky try his hand at a Jonah Hex animated series. I honestly think he could pull it off extremely well. Jonah's been to post-apocalyptic futures so often the story writes itself. A mix of his usual Old West appearances with that mid 80's series "Hex" where he was essentially... Mad Max.

I can't believe I didn't fave this sooner. I know all of you recognize this as being in the same art style as Samurai Jack and it has a dual reason.
If you haven't watched his video yet and you should, Jonah during a run in the 1980s was in a book just titled "Hex" where he was inexplicably pulled from the old west into a dystopian future reminiscent of Mad Max.

I do have a lot of respect for cowboys often wanting to be one myself. I didn't know much about Jonah Hex that was until I saw your video. I really do love the artwork and the coloring. It'd be interesting to see a Jonah Hex show with this particular art style. I believe this is the same style for Samurai Jack, but I think I'm wrong.

CR, you are probably my second favorite reviewer on the site. You're a great artist and your schtick is pretty original. I think the thing I like the most about your Familiar Faces is that I can learn a thing or two about a character I kind of recognized, like Jonah Hex, who I first saw in the Justice League episode (I did wonder what two face was doing back then

Really like the style you went with on this one; how close it looks to a Timm/Deni series incarnation of the character.
My first introduction to Jonah Hex was in the short featured in the collector's edition of Batman: Under the Red Hood. For me that instantly became my favorite part of the entire set! Even more so than the feature-length Batman story. Was short, to the point, and just great classic, gritty Western action that there isn't enough of these days

Can't wait for this Familiar Faces. I'm guessing you'll talk about his appearances in the DCAU, a bit of his history in the comics, probably the movie, since it's the elephant in the room, and, I don't know, the motion comics I've heard about? Or that short they packaged with one of those new DC animated movies? Whatever, I'm sure it will be great.
