Back in late Summer of 2014 I visited Telluride Colorado and was fortunate enough to be able to get up to the Alta mines not far outside of town at an elevation right at 12,000 feet. It was an active gold mine camp from the late 1870's to early 1940's if I'm not mistaken. Many of it's buildings are still preserved today. It is an impressive location to say the least. The view you see here is of Wilson's Peak with the majority of the buildings behind where I'm standing in this shot although you do see the remnants of a building in this shot center right. A place I hope to visit again one day.
