So this is my first post in roughly two years here on DA. This site has changed dramatically in my absence and I'm not sure it's been for the better. I stepped away from posting images (everywhere, not just DA) so I could simply focus on getting better and improving my skills as a photographer and didn't want to be distracted with social media or photo sharing sites. For my first image in two years I thought I'd share a shot from Spring of last year. Yep, it's Fall but I'm sharing a Spring shot -). This is Sparks Lane in the Smoky Mountains. A popular spot to say the least. I was lucky enough to capture this image with a little fog while the Dogwoods were in full bloom. If you've ever been to this location you know the chances of running into other photographers here is very high. However, on this morning, while the conditions were perfect, I had this spot pretty much to myself for about 30 minutes...quite surreal.
