Peridot is an no nonsense uptight kind of guy who behind his authoritative demeanor is an absolute coward. He rarely gives an honest smile or admits he's having fun and has a tendency of being a bit of a bossy boots in order to get everything on his to-do list done. He can be a bit of a grump on some days and if upset he can be petty enough to give the person who did the upsetting the silent treatment until he's apologized to.
He's the captain of his own spaceship which was passed down from his presumably deceased father with his sister and her friend as his first mates who he leaves most of the fighting too. He doesn't like being out shined by his half-sister Aloe but he has to admit that she is a lot more capable than he is when it comes to anything outside of engineering or socializing and her friend, Venus, is just as impressive while the only thing Peridot can do is stick to walls, because of this he developed an inferiority complex and instead of helping them out in fights prefers to disappear into the background and make off with whatever object they're trying to steal.
Did I say steal? I mean reacquire. Both Peridot & Aloe have made it their goal to reacquire all of their fathers technology he invented that was stolen from him when Peridot & Aloe were children. Presumably if his father is dead the inventions he made now belong to Peridot but the law doesn't see it that way and out of desperation and spite their now on a mission to take back what is rightfully there's and if they're lucky enough, find the father they assume to be dead. With the help of their friend Venus and the spaceship that Peridot's father gave him they're achieving that goal little by little, but not without pursuit as a small team of Bounty hunters is on their trail trying to capture them and stop them from "stealing" more items.
