Description
So I had an idea, maybe Navi is so annoying because if she wasn't Link wouldn't get anything done! Also if she was a human form fairy I don't think Link could concentrate. I didn't wanna make it too sexy so I wouldn't haveto put mature on but I was tempted to... but no...
If this looks a little strange with my art I'm still getting used to my new tablet.

Well if you played for yourself it's obvious Navi is female due to the annoying high pitch "HEY!" "LISTEN!"
Your friend might also be confused with the two fairies from Majora's mask Tatl and Tael who are brother and sister. Tatl the female accompanies Link throughout the entirety on the game while Tael is with Skull Kid.
There is also Ciela another female fairy who tags along with Link in LoZ Phantom Hourglass.
If you go to Zeldapedia you can see Navi is a female~ zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Navi
That is just another source but it is EXTREMELY obvious while playing the games that she is female.
