The sequel to Friendtastic Four .

Takes the cake for longest project from "intents to do" (November 30th 2015) to "finished" (January 31st 2017). At least to my memory. Mostly because it was there as a "pending reservation" on my profile for the MLP-VectorClub site . That part's finally over with , though.

After some time (because at the initial upload of this, and a couple of weeks beyond that, I hadn't wrote much in this description), I decided to look at the prequel of this to see if I could write anything substantial just like I did then, since that's usually part of the fun whenever I get to post things. Basically, this began back in December of 2015 with just Sugar Belle's mane, or tail, or something. I'm preeeetty sure I was discouraged for a long while both from the relatively-small size of the referencing screenshot, and the amount of pony hidden behind other ponies. Not much happened between then and this past holiday break, apart from maybe a reminder or two (I appreciate your patience, Davey) or maybe a gaze at the would-be in-progress project and a subsequent cringe. It turns out that I had the TV-rip screencap as my reference on the thing rather than the much-cleaner iTunes raw HD one, though it didn't make quite as much of a difference as one'd hope.

By the 2016 holidays and new year's time period I'd fully intended to start on it again, but of course in the midst of all my lazy, unproductive free time, I eventually got swamped away to party celebrations which lasted several days, so of course I wasn't able to do anything even if I wanted to. When I eventually did get to work a month later, while there is only one reference screenshot linked below (so that you know where this thing came from), in actuality there were 23 various snippets of screenshots consisting of eyes, muzzles, ears, wings, manes, tails, cutie marks, legs, all at various instances, angles, positions, and so forth that I collected during the making of this (as opposed to knowing what pieces I needed beforehand; I'm not psychic). Most of this had to do with working on something originally at a larger size, then scaling it down onto the reference to get a more-accurate stroke width that was neither too thin nor too thick, as well as to avoid using a stroke width from total guestimation. For instance, in order to work with Double Diamond's body as it was hidden behind Sugar Belle and Starlight Glimmer, I derived it from his profile-standing pose a few seconds before the shot this vector came from. His head, especially under that mass of mane, was derived from four other references of stallion heads (including his own of course). Night Glider's body was derived from a season 6 episode where a pegasus mare was flying while facing forward towards us, though it really didn't matter quite as much since literally her head, wings, and neck are the only parts visible.

In other instances, entire bodies were recycled. Much of Starlight Glimmer's body was duplicated from Sugar Belle's, with a few obvious changes either to position and the usual stuff so that you see her as Starlight and not Sugar Belle (you know, things like what the mane looks like or the color, hehe). Party Favor's body was recycled from past instances of frontal stallions, which appear several times in my gallery. Frankly I feel I've developed the "perfect" frontal stallion asset and I'm pretty sure you can see that I wasn't going to get very far if I relied on the screencap alone to create him here. Otherwise, a few freeze-frame instances of him facing forwards were referred to for his mane and tail, even though you can't see the latter at all (just like you can't see Double Diamond's cutie mark or tail, or pretty much most of Night Glider).

So yeah, that's pretty much what I can muster regarding this piece, I hope you enjoy what you see. (I even allowed it to display in its blown-up size so you can zoom in and scroll around a giant pony vector. )

It was mostly from vectoring all the hidden parts in entirety so that their pony bodies are wholesome. No one will ever see them unless they dig through the source file though, or just browse the options below.
