I use Artrage 4, and for the stallion on the left I used a base pallet of two colours for the black coat, and two colours for mane and tell, as well as two colours for the white, in addition to a few colours here and there for his nostrils, eyes and the pink of his lighter skin and hooves. After the base layer went on, the second, darker colour went on for shading on an upper layer. Then parts of the darker layer were smudged and blended. This was repeated for every section that required different colours. Afterwards, I simply adjusted their hues, brightness and sat. through the colour slider until.. Boom. The horse was done. 

The mare on the right was done in a similar manner, though once I was done with her basic brown colour and shading, I duplicated that layer, darkened it, and erased and blended it into the lower one. Rinse and repeat until the horse looks like I want it to

I have a few speedpainting videos up on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgXldq… ), though mostly.. If you want to see step-by-step of my digital art, I will occasionally post sketches, which I then update with lineart, first colour layers, secondary colours, blending, then backgrounds. 

I plan to make another (good and UTD) digital speed-paint video one of these days, so if you're interested, keep your eyes peeled for journals

Yay, in some HARPG circles, it seems like only race TBs are valued, so I'm always happy to find someone who is interested in another aspect of these versatile horses. Tuxedo's first baby is a successful Show jumper/ puissance horse (3-Star with the Jockey Club & HIEF), so Tux can definitely throw that talent!

Such a shame, considering Thoroughbreds are such a wonderfully athletic breed.. That insane lung capacity shouldn't just be limited to the track!  

I spent quite some time sifting through potential studs, and I can honestly say that I'm extremely happy with the outcome! Tux's got a good show record, lovely temperament from everything that I've read, and quality really shines through in his offspring. Let's not forget that gorgeous coat of his...

Tux seems like a rather amiable stallion who tries his best from everything that I've read, and Sunday.. oh man, I've got some love in my eyes for that mare. I'm so excited that I've got an opportunity to have one of her baybees  

I think TAG will be bringing in a few more members for their staff... Kyle can't have all the pretty jumpers to himself
