Description
Heidi came from a rich family in Switzerland. She was also falsely arrested and imprisoned at the same prison as Megan. For a while, her family bribed the prison authorities to treat her better. Heidi became good "friends" with Megan. But, the family stopped paying, Heidi's privileges vanished, and eventually she-- and Megan-- were sold off to a Russian oligarch who put them to work at mining copper in a Siberian gulag he owned. This is Heidi in her first year at the camp. Both the work and the winters are brutal.
NOTE: Heidi is also from chaingganggirls. John named a figure in one of my pictures, and gave her a backstory. From then on, Heidi became a central character in Megan's story. I hadn't drawn her in almost a decade either.

In the USSR and old russian corrective system was no tradition to write on prisoner clothes: "Узник" ("The Prisoner"); there wrote only two letters "ЗК" ("Заключённый") and his number. But even if to write as here, "Prisoner" ("Узник") - it is a masculine gender in the Russian grammar. It will be correct "Узница" ("Woman-prisoner" an english), because Heidi is the woman.

Thanks for the correction. It's obvious that I don't know Russian and that I'm unfamiliar with the Cyrillic alphabet (I guess I didn't pay close enough attention during the opening ceremonies at Sochi ) And there's still a lot of history for me to take in.
Google Translate is a handy tool, but the results aren't perfect and may not reflect proper grammar and gender.
I'll keep this information for future use.
