Description EDIT: OI! I have redrawn and redesigned this image, now with a face and slight less atrocious anatomy! Check it out:



Woots! This is my entry for 's dressphere contest.

I am ridiculously proud of this. I was looking around the entries and I saw something missing: steampunk and giant swords. You dnt have to be a classy Victorian genious to put one and one together. I feel the steampunk fandom is not nearly big enough for how awesome the genre is. Anyway, onto my entry.

The actual name is Steampunk Very Heavy Swordsman. I want to talk about her shoulder armor, its more of a device. The official name is Steam Assisted Very Heavy Weaponry Swinging Mechanism, or SAVHWSM. As you can guess, it enabes Rikku to swing her sword around with ease. Her sword is called Brass Timeline, and yes it tells the time. Down to the milisecond.

SO, wish me luck. And even if I don't win, I think I still have a very cool outfit and sword design for me to tinker around with.

OK, its true. I looked to many pieces around dA for inspiration. But I feel I have to mention that a lot of my inspiration came from this exellent piece [link] by . So a LOT of credit goes to her.

Well look at that. I think your just reading to far into, lol. Before now I'd only seen you design on thumbnail form while browsing around. I just went with stockings and leg warmers cause monty mentioned them in the "lieks " part. Also I LOVE leg warmers, its true:

I'd put em on ALL my characters if I could. Well all my female charcters. Male leg warmers CANNOT be a good thing.
Anyway, heres my train of thought, if that means anything: I was all for showing off some leg at first, but I was looking around dA's victorian themed works and many of them include stockings or dresses and almost none show off skin so I just added it last minute. For the color I just grabbed the purple from the skirt and made it lighter.

BY the way, SWEET design man. I love the double sword design, it would be sweet if she could separate them into two swords and then put them back together.

i only made a passing by comment i only found out when it was pointed it out to me tha they looked familier and the similar colour scheme of sock tight thingerh XD lol since once i finished mine and uploaded them i didnt want to look at any other designs since it would depress me lol and my chances would go down XD

well if it seperated how could she proform magic as well ? since the atack pattern is a combo of both lol

Well why not make it a combo of three? Like do some combo with it the double sword, then fire some magic with one hand, then separate them keep the combo going then put them back together. Knowing monty he could probably do it too lol. Anyway, your weapon would be sweet against ayane's double purple sword thingy.

no se exactamente de que va el concurso, pero creo que tienes posibilidades. el diseΓ±o de la ropa estΓ‘ fenomenal, y la estetica steampunk creo ke le pega mucho a rikku. me gustan en especial esa ombrera con escape de gas y la espada.

vigila la anatomΓ­a aunque quieras un estilo en concreto, las mujeres no tienen esos volumenes, sobretodo en la parte cintura/caderas, deverΓ­a ser un poco mas suave. Un buen consejo es que primero aprendas muchisima anatomΓ­a, casi a la perfecciΓ³n, y desde ese conocimiento, deformes a tu gusto. es lo que hacen todos los buenos dibujantes.

Jajajaj gracias carnal. Estoy orgulloso del disenio. Lo unico que me preocupa es tal vez la libertad de movimiento con la falda. Pero bueno, veremos como me va.

I would have to say: no. I am fan of vyxee and I have seen that piece AND was inspired by it for the skirt. The rest of the outfit is mine i have to say.

Now I didnt credit her thats true and wrong. But that can be fixed right?

Now if there is bigger problem than that, then Vyxee can take it up with me and we'll talk and I'll take it down or change it.
