HEAR we go. This is Valko is his brand new outfit for *RoninsUltramix 's Samurai Dueler's League. Its such a well organized...thing...I just had to jump on. Also I want it on the Red Ball Open . just need to get tha audition in.Anyway, here's some slightly relevent information:
Name: Valko the Usurper (dropped his last name a long time ago)
Age: 34
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 187 lbs.
Weapons:
- Ragnarok: ...the big one.
- Magnolia: A damascus steel katana
Likes: Tea, alcohol, dogs.
Dislikes: The western world.
History:
To be updated as the tounament and league progresses.
Valko arrived in Japan 2 years ago. He hails from a land far to west, a land that used to be known as Gaul, now France. Certain events led to his banishment from his own homeland and prosecuted for years on end all over Europe and the middle east. Condemning his home and land he fled to Asia with hope of finaly escaping prosecution and hopefully stay under the radar.
Odd and Ends
Having spend a large portion of his life being prosecuted through a frozen terrain, its safe so say he might a little...loose in the head to say the least. He has all but lost his sence of good, bad and morality. When is not out selling his sword, he can usually find him brooding in a local bar/tea house drining/inhailing what ever it is that they sell.
I made the Image bigger, the last version was way to small. Also cleaned up the lines. I had to compromise the big sword though, so go here for an even bigger immage and a complete sword reference. And one last thing I go aq couple of detail shots put together just for you guys. Check them out .
On and extra note, I want to mention that Valko's big sword ragnarok was inspired by the Hellreaver weapon from World of Warcraft. Its a realy cool lance I have on my warrior and I love the design. For the Alliance!

Oh this is an old, OLD, design. His outfit is basically hisΒ original outfit Β modified to look like Japanese outfit specifically for the Samurai Duel League, which was a big thing like 6 years ago. I think its still going. Anyway, I came up with both outfits myself. His back story has a lot to do with wolves, so the for a Japanese outfit it made sense to give hime a print of Amaterasu on his pants, the armor on his arm is just a Β super stylized version of samurai armor and his weapon is ripped off from World of Warcraft.Β
And yes, you are right, Gaul was much larger than France, I know it included Belgium, Switzerland The Netherlands and part of Italy. However, that whole area known as Gaul by the Romans, and some parts of Germania and Belgica was later called Francia by the Norse during the viking age, which is also important to the backstory of this character.

I really like the background story. It's pretty fleshed out, and without a doubt interesting to read. Still, you could've maybe been a bit more brief and save it for unveiling during the progression of his time in SDL. I hope you get in -_^"
Also... did you get inspiration for Ragnarok from a weapon called the Hell Reaver from World of Warcraft? Theres a few similarities.

See ths is exactly the kind of stuff i need help with. Im glad you liked the story, I'm surprsed someone actually read it, even I think its TL;DR. But anyway, your right I should flesh it out during the league and tournaments...NOBODY PANIC! only 22 people have seen it, and that includes you and me so that 20 tops...I'm taking that sucker down. It'll be out little secret, eh?
And dem it...yes I did get inspiration from Hellreaver...I have that weapon on my warrior at the moment, I love the design so much. I knew someone would pick up on it, just not this fast...heh. Albeit, it is subject to change.

I'm surprised more people havn't read it. It seems like only a few people have really fleshed out thier characters, and in many cases, have simply withdrawn into cases of I'M THE ULTIMATE POWER YOU LOSE BITCHES HAHAHAHAH.
To say that mentality pisses me off would be an understatement. Isn't this about creating a huge diverse universe of characters with interesting backgrounds? That and making a compelling series of comics that are based on fair matches.
And yeah, that Hellreaver is a wikid weapon to get your hands on. My Blood Elf Paladin has it too, regretably I don't play him anymore though, as I'm too busy raiding SSC and TK on my Night Elf Rogue on another server.
You should probably make a mention that the Hellreaver was a scourse of inspiration for Valko's weapon Ragnarok, as some people get way too touchy when it comes to copyright, depsite the fact that you havn't tried to make any profit out of him.

I've actually seen more 'Unkown man of unkown age with unknown power THOUGH IT IS ULTIMATE AND MAXIMUM'.
The angsty teen catagory has actually been given a decent break.
Funny that you mention teens though... my character is a kid who looks like he's 13, but is actually WAY older.
