365 DAY CHALLENGE

Today we have the final designs for Mieke's sword . I am torn between these two options. I don't know if I like the dove tail or the pointed design better. You have an opinion please comment on this, I could use the opinions. I might still tweak this out a little bit more in the future, I think since the character has a Nordic theme then some Norse runes or some knotwork should be in order, we'll. So if you, and I mean YOU, read this far you better leave a comment and tell me which you like better or so help me god.

I think I would also go for the left, that reminds me of a razor edge! I usually rant a lot when it comes to sword proportions, but you got them right, congratulation (ok, maybe add a bit of thickness on the grip, but that's just me

You're probably right, I think I need more material on the cross-guard for the blade to properly resolve into the shoulder and then the tang without it looking like it can just snap off. Also I could use more real estate for scrollwork and knotwork and stuff.

You could, but since it is a fantasy design, pretty much everything is permitted.

Go with the one on the left, looks more like something someone who uses a lot of powerful swings and not as many thrusts would use...and es Knotwork much knotwork needed

What is this feedback?! OMG thanks! But yeah I was leaning towards the left design, the pointed one looks like its more for stabbing and slashing, whereas I wanted more crushing and smashing which does fit the left one better.

it happens occasionally.....
I am usually starved for feedback myself. That left handed blade like ya said just looks far more brutal and better for a nice solid crush him to bloody goo style fighting
