Description
For a personal project to categorize the Digimon in evolution charts. All evolutions are straight lines, where the Digimon evolve through normal means.This one is Mokumon, who belongs to the spooky, mischievous group of Nightmare Soldiers! Are YOU afraid of the dark...?!
Based off of the Pendulum V-Pet, version 3: lcd.wtw-x.net/PenEvoChart3
Mokumon -> DemiMeramon -> Tapirmon / Candlemon / DemiDevimon
Tapirmon -> Apemon -> Mammothmon -> SkullMammothmon
Tapirmon -> Darkrizamon -> Mephistomon -> Gulfmon
Candlemon -> Meramon -> SkullMeramon -> Boltmon
Candlemon -> Wizardmon -> Mystimon -> Dynasmon
DemiDevimon -> Devimon -> NeoDevimon -> Daemon
DemiDevimon -> Bakemon -> Phantomon -> Piedmon
UPDATE v1.1 : Myotismon's line has been relocated elsewhere, and the spots filled by NeoDevimon and Daemon.

Pity there isn't a Champion level for Tapirmon that's more consistent with the theme.

You know, for the longest time I thought that too? But after some research I believe that Apemon really is meant to fill that spot in Tapirmon's 'main' line (if you look closely, you can see that Tapirmon's ankle ring is on Apemon's finger! There's also the detail of their exposed skin being of similar colors and eyes both being blue though that one is debatable, I suppose). Looking at the evolution of guys like Salamon and Crabmon (the line of Coelamon -> Scorpiomon -> Plesiomon), which imply that what's on the inside is more significant to theme consistency, I think the theme of 'mythical beastie' or whatever it's supposed to be goes pretty well all the same, even if they miss out on having another trunked beastie to link Tapirmon and Mammothmon.Β
Really, lines like Patamon's and Betamon's where the evolutionary line is evident by their etymology and physiology, are kinda the outliers if you think about it .w.

Shame DemiMera is classified as an In-Training instead of a Rookie, would of made perfect sense for him to be Meramon's Rookie form. If Whamon can be labeled as both a Champion and Ultimate, why can't DemiMeramon be both In-Training and Rookie?(No one answer that, I was being rhetorical)

Maybe so, but Demi-Mera -> Candlemon -> Meramon works fine as well, haha (it's DemiMera on Candlemon's head, after all).Β
I think Whamon's deal is that he was Champion during the gen 1 era days of File Island when Mega stage didn't exist, and that he's pretty much always Ultimate nowadays that the 'space' or capacity or whatever of the Digital World has been expanded. (That's the most sense I can make out of their wildly inconsistent lore anyways lol)

That is an excellent question. .3. Strictly speaking there's no direct parallel line like with the other chaos lords, but i think I used Tsukaimon > Soulmon > SkullSatamon > him. Other guys like Vilemon could also evo to SkullSatamon.

Not necessarily... Parallel lines are nice, true, but in my experience there are very rarely any complete parallels that fully work.
In the case of MetalPhantomon, sure, you could, but I personally wouldn't put him there as it doesn't make sense to me that an X-antibody Digimon would evolve into one without. It'd be like a computer updating its software to a more archaic version instead of a newer one, y'know? That's just my opinion though!Β Β―\_(γ)_/Β―

Technically there is no 'right' until Bandai gets its shit together and decides to be consistent about Digivolution rules, haha. They've broken that self-imposed 'rule' in games and stuff before, so its really just my interpretation lol

They kind of broke it in V-Tamers anyways, since they had Megadramon be a DNA Digivolution of Kokatorimon and Kuwagamon, only for it to DNA Digivolve with Cherrymon to become Ghoulmon. Β So a bird and beetle fuse to become a cyborg dragon, and said dragon fuses with a giant cherry tree to become a cyclops demon.

Yeah that WAS pretty weird I gotta admit, but there IS some grain of actual consistency to it, if you can believe that... 0v0 Kokatorimon and Kuwagamon were originally part of the same V-pet as Megadramon, so the fact that they share that sort of 'root DNA' (I guess you could call it) sort of makes sense that they'd be able to fuse into a shared evolution-- the only problem with that is that Kokatorimon and Kuwagamon were supposed to evolve into Pixiemon, not Megadramon, in the V-pet... so there's still the error there, but I see the logic, at least.
As for Ghoulmon I can't totally defend it, but to me the idea that such a weird, messed-up looking Digimon would be the result of fusion between two otherwise-incompatible Digimon is an interesting thought to me, since Ghoulmon has little-to-no known or consistent relations to other Ultimate/Perfect Digimon anyway-- like that he's a junk Mega of sorts.

Isn't MaloMyotismon the final version of Myotismon?
Why not BlueMeramon instead of SkullMeramon and Elephantmon instead of Apemon?

I'm hyperactively obsessive with this stuff too. =3= You wouldn't believe how ashamed I am to have all this information instantly on-call at the top of my brain. It's no problem, I just didn't have time to reply right away.
That line looks fine to me. I like Impmon as a Rookie for both Devimon AND Beelzemon, but I don't see why that wouldn't work too.
MaloMyotismon exists, yeah, but it's not like he's the only Mega for Myotismon. I'm honestly not sure quite how to deal with him myself; most likely he'll be treated as a Super-Mega or a special DNA Digivolution for Myotismon (a la Omnimon or something).Β
SkullMeramon instead of BlueMeramon for the same reasons as Golemon / Icemon and Triceramon / Vermilimon. It works, but I didn't want to waste the main slots with something that I see as completely obvious anyway. Besides, I'd like to use those guys elsewhere too. (IE, IceDevimon -> BlueMeramon, Flarerizamon -> Vermiimon, etc.)
Regrettably I haven't quite completed any of the charts that use those subspecies Digimon enough to upload them yet.Β
