Description “You should have seen it, (f/n)! Bunny was so livid! Hah! Serves him right. Though, I got quite the scolding from Tooth.” (F/n) laughed, shaking his head as he was hunched over his desk doing his homework. “Hey.” Jack Frost landed on the floor he was just hovering over and leaned next to his sweet boyfriend. “You still haven't met them yet. They told me they'd love to meet you officially. North even picked up his pace for making his toys. He really does get jolly at a mention of you. Especially since he was worried for you.”

“I would love to visit them, but how could I? And I’m swamped with homework, Jack. You know that.” (F/n)'s hand moved swiftly across the papers before him, finishing the problems in no time flat. He was a genius, and Jack knew that all too well.

The frost spirit sighed, hand behind his head as he ruffled his hair. “Yeah, I know. When you're at the desk, that means you're busy and unable to do anything. Wish you could, I don't know, take a break?”

“Every break I take turns into a snowball fight that lasts longer than it should. I don't have time for that, Jack. I’m sorry.” Jack frowned as he nodded, turning away.

“Seems we don't really have time for each other anymore.”

This caused the (nationality) to stop writing. He hung his head, sighing. That sad tone in Jack's voice didn't fit him. “When I’m done with this semester, I won't be so busy.”

“But then you have all those holidays.” Jack swung his staff to his shoulders, holding it with his arms hanging on it. “Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Before you know it, you're back in for the next semester. You college kids don't get a break.”

“You'd be surprised.” (F/n) turned in his swivel chair to face the white haired boy. “Some of those college kids get those breaks and find themselves bored with nothing to do. I’m one of those kids. That's why I’m always doing my homework so I do have something to occupy my time.”

“But you have me to fill up some of that time.” Jack glanced over to the (h/c) haired boy. “Right?”

(F/n) stared into those shiny blue eyes that held all his emotions. He sighed, looking away as he turned back to his homework. “I do, but now isn't the time to play games.” Jack stared at the back of (f/n)'s head before nodding to himself. He opened the window in the room and sent a small swirl of wind towards the other before jumping out and flying away. The (nationality) paused his work, pushing up his glasses a little more. “I'm sorry, Jack. We barely have time for each other. Especially since my family moved back in.”

At the mention of his family, his younger sister knocked on the door. “(F/n)~. It's almost dinner time. Finish up your problem them come down.”

“Okay.” He didn't hear her go. A small smile appeared on his lips as he finished up the problem he was on, stood up, and opened his door once he was there. “Madeline.”

The girl stood up to him with a knowing grin, her blond locks rippling down to her shoulders. “Did Jack visit again?” Instead of gaining a smile, like she thought she would, she received a frown. “Uh-oh.” She frowned along with her brother. “Are you two fighting? Nah, can't be. I didn't here you yelling.”

The (nationality) sighed, and scratched the back of his neck. “I sort of pushed him away this time.” Madeline pushed out her lips. “I have homework to do, which he knows when I’m at my desk, and it's a bother when he pesters me to hang out with him. Don't get me wrong, I love being with him, but it's just-”

“Your work comes before everything else, and when it's done, it's a load off your mind so everything else is in its place.” She mocked him. (F/n) glared at her. “We all know that, (f/n), but you do need to take breaks. Burying yourself into your work isn't good either.” She poked his chest. “Apologize when you see him again and make some time for him. He's your boyfriend, for crying out loud!”

“Oh dear, are (f/n) and Jack fighting already?” Their mother came up behind them. “You've only been seeing each other for five months now. What could be the problem?”

(F/n) sighed as his sister recapped what they were speaking about. He was happy for the family coming closer since the past year, but telling them about Jack was probably one thing he should not have done. At least not so early. Madeline seemed ecstatic, as well as their mother. Joyce didn't mind at all that her brother was seeing a “make believe person” and neither did Jared, their older brother. Darren was the only one that didn't accept it. The boy sighed as he remember Darren saying how sick it is to hear that (f/n) was in love with someone who didn't exist that was the same gender. It was the fact that Jack was a guy that bothered him the most.

“(F/n), you should apologize to the boy.” He sighed, nodding.

“Yeah, yeah. I already decided I will. I heard dinner was almost ready?”

“Oh, yes! I came to get you two since you hadn't come down yet.” Their mother smiled. “Let's go. Joyce and Jared are already sitting at the table.”

“Darren's being a pain.” Madeline mumbled as she descended the stairs. Wilma chuckled as she followed her daughter down, (f/n) right behind them. “Do I have permission to smack him if he starts berating (f/n) again because of Jack?”

“Only on the back of his head.” The blonde huffed, mumbling how that wasn't enough but could do.

“I'm still surprised that you two believe me when it comes to him.” (F/n) uttered under his breath.

Wilma glanced back at her youngest son, smiling. “Your not one to lie, (f/n), and I believe you because I can see him myself when he visits. Actually, he just came down a few minutes ago as I was finishing dinner. I made him jump by asking what was wrong. He didn't realize I could see him.”

“I can see him, too, so be sure that if you and Jack do the dirty to leave a sock on your door knob and be quiet.”

“Maddie!” (F/n) cheeks flared up as he heard those words from his little sister.

She laughed. “I know you've imagined it in your dreams. I can hear you moaning his name in the night half the time.” Her brother's blush grew. “I guess I picked the worst room to be in. There were only two empty rooms, and I wanted to be closer to you, so...”

(F/n) groaned. “Just shut up~.” He whined.

“Jack.” He heard his mother call for the winter frost spirit. “You don't need to leave. You could join us for dinner.”

“Ah, no thank you.” (F/n) stayed hidden from Jack's eyes. “I need to get going. Can't stay in one place for too long when there are places that need my touches.” He chuckled, waving. “Tell (f/n) I won't be here tomorrow. North and Bunny asked me to do some errands and I’m going to take the time tomorrow to do it.”

“All right, dear. Don't be a stranger.” Jack smiled as he nodded and flew off to wherever he was going.
“How can you two not believe in him when mom and I talk to him in front of you?” Maddie sat beside Darren, who grumbled, slouching in his seat.

Joyce shrugged along with Jared. “We accept it but still don't believe.” Joyce smiled as (f/n) took the seat next to her. “And we just want you to be happy.”

“Unlike a certain brother who just won't accept it.” Jared looked at Darren, disappointed.

Darren scoffed. “How can you all be fine with him loving a guy?”

“I'm fine with it because your father was bisexual and fell in love with me.” Wilma moved the dinner pots and plates to the table.

“My husband is also bi, but wanted kids of his own and everyone else that he was with didn't want any kids whatsoever.” Joyce frowned as she unconsciously held a hand over her stomach area. Everyone frowned as well.

Jared cleared his throat and sighed. “I'm not interested in anything like that for myself-”

“Asexual.” Maddie coughed.

He continued on, ignoring her. “-but I don't mind as long as he's happy with whoever it is that he wants to be with.” Jared fixed his glasses, helping Wilma set everything down before passing the food around.

“And I’m a lesbian.” Madeline blurted out, passing the bread to Darren, who cringed away from her. Everyone's eyes were on her. She didn't noticed until no other food was passed around and she looked up. “What?”

“When did you discover that, Maddie?” (F/n) asked, honestly curious.

“When I was hospitalized.” She shrugged. “I realized that all the nurses stationed for me were really sexy and I kept having these dreams of ravaging-”

“Too much!” Darren stood from his chair. “I'm going to eat in the living room.” He packed his plate full of food and left the table.

Wilma hummed, sighing as she shook her head. “I honestly don't remember Henry raising him like that. Or me, for that matter.”

“Can I smack him?” Maddie asked, eager to do so.

“No, dear. Just leave him be.” Their mother sighed. “Really. He was so worried about all of us when he was in Denmark, but the instant he comes back...” She trailed off. Shaking her head, she smiles bright as she can. “Enough of this. Let's enjoy our family dinner.” Everyone nodded and started eating. “Joyce, why didn't your husband come?”

“He had work.”

(F/n) listened as his siblings conversed with their mother. He ate slowly, still upset with himself over Jack. Though the spirit was over a couple of centuries in age, the boy was still just a kid. That's what unnerved him the most. Jack looked like he was only fourteen or maybe fifteen, he wasn't sure. (F/n) was now nineteen, on his second year for college, and nowhere near free as much as he wanted to be. He sighed, pushing away from the table. He didn't eat much but that was only because he wasn't that hungry. His mother and siblings glanced at him as he brought his plate and utensils to the kitchen before going upstairs. The silent click of his door caused Maddie to frown as she picked at her own food.

~

Jack sighed, laying in the air as North worked on his desk, making new toys. The big man glanced at Frost, concerned with the sad sigh the spirit kept emitting since he came back. He tried many times to bring up what was bothering the boy but Jack didn't seem in the mood to talk about it yet. If he sighed one more time like that though he'd-

Jack sighed again, sounding lonelier and sadder than the other ones.

That's it. “Jack, my boy. What is bothering you?” Jack groaned as he let gravity take him to the floor. North winced at the thud. “Jack? Did something happen between you and (f/n)? I remember you saying you were to visit him today. How did it go?”

“Awful.” Jack turned to his side, back facing the toy maker. “He was busy again. I tried to convince him to take a break but he told me outright he couldn't because the break would be too long. Longer than what should be, so he says.”

North nodded. “I believe one told me about a deal you made with (f/n) last year. You would respect him doing his work and then have fun when he was not busy with it anymore?”

Jack sat up. “I know I made that deal, but I just can't stand it! I’m not there with him all the time because of the seasons moving around the world so I miss him terribly. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea in the first place.”

“Jack.” The big man got up and hoisted the boy to his feet. “Do not think that way. You cannot help what happens with love. Love itself is tricky and full of challenges. How do you think (f/n) feels not able to see you like every other couple is?” Jack stayed quiet, pouting. “You are making this harder than it really is, you realize.”

“Tell that to (f/n). He's the one that is saying we can't be with each other because he doesn't have the time.”

“If only there was a way you could stop time. That is what you are thinking, right?” Jack hummed, thinking over that. His physique turned around as he thought about it some more. “Jack?” North didn't understand until it crossed his mind. “There is no way to stop time unless you go to Father Time himself.”

“Thanks, North. You just answered my question on if he really existed.” The red suited man smacked his forehead before he reached for Jack. “Where is he? Would you know, by any chance?”

Jack kept dodging North's hands. “I don't. You shouldn't stop time just for (f/n), Jack! It is not right.”

“But you guys have asked for his help once or twice, haven't you?” The frost spirit hovered above the man.

“No, we have not. We do not need his help. We found our own ways to do our jobs in one day or even quicker.” North sighed, sitting in his chair. “He will not give you time unless you trade.”

“What do I have to trade?” Jack sat in front of North, intent on getting his answer.

The toy maker stared at the boy, soon sighing again as he picked up a broken toy to fix. “You must trade the time of someone's life for the time that you will freeze. And you cannot use your own time of life because we are forever living.”

Jack's face fell as he stood, leaning on his staff. “I can't do that. That's not fair to the person I’m taking from. I could be taking time from (f/n)'s life.” He shook his head. “No wonder no one brings up Father Time.” North nodded. “Well, I guess I should look for another idea, then.”

“Do not fret so much, Jack. (F/n) is very smart so he will finish what he needs to do to free up some of his time.” North opened up his hands and let a small dragon toy fly around on its own, breathing fire that won't harm anything.

“It's hard not to worry.” He gripped his staff and nodded to the big man. “Thanks, North. I’ll be back.” He leapt in the air and flew off.

North sat there and sighed. “Ah, love. It is indeed tricky to get around. Especially when you do fall in love but cannot be with the one you love.” North's jolly attitude fell before he stood up, clapped his hands, and went to check on his Yetis. He soon remembered Father Time was just another story. Yet to be created by the moon. Rubbing his white beard, he thought how (f/n) would be the best candidate. This maybe true, but he knew it would be a short nineteen years for the (nationality) boy to live. He wouldn't wish that upon (f/n).

Jack slowly flew through the air of many towns, on his way back to (f/n)'s house. He knew he wasn't being rational. It's different for (f/n) and all the other people in the world. Jack hasn't passed the age of fifteen in centuries so he hadn't really matured. He didn't want to, but in order to be in a relationship, he probably had to grow up.

When he reached the house, he peered through the window, watching as Wilma washed the dishes with Joyce and Madeline. He opened the patio door as quietly he could, searching the room for Jared and Darren. They were in the living room. He closed the door and was about to float to the stairs when someone pulled him down into a hug.

“Jack, you're back!” Maddie squeezed him tight. “Good timing! (F/n)'s still in his room. He wants to talk to you.”

“First, let the boy go, dear, and he will.” Wilma chuckled. Joyce shook her head, still washing the dishes. “It's good to see you again, Jack.”

“Y-yeah. You, too.” He chuckled a little, grateful when Madeline let him go. “You know, I’m still not used to you two seeing me.” The two laughed and he shook his head, going upstairs to speak with (f/n).

The (h/c) haired college student laid on his bed, finished with homework. His thoughts wrapped around his frost spirit boyfriend and how little time they have because of him and his college work. A sigh escaped through his nostrils as he mentally planned a schedule he could work with. It wasn't long after he made the schedule that a knock rapped on his door. He smiled a little, wondering if it could be Jack, but knowing it possibly wasn't.

“Come in.” He called out to the person behind his door. He sat up and looked at his visitor, eyes widening in slight surprise. “Jack.”

The silver haired boy waved and smiled. “I'm back.” He closed the door and hovered over to (f/n). “Just wanted to come by and chat again. Possibly apologize for how I’ve been acting recently.”

“No no. I should be apologizing.” (F/n) pulled Jack down to sit next to him. “I pushed you away and I shouldn't have.” A small smile graced his lips. “I realized that I have been wrapping myself tightly around my homework when I probably should be going out and have some fun.” He leaned into Jack. “So since tomorrow is Saturday and I have no classes, would you like to come over and play some games? After your errands of course.”

Jack smiled bright. “Ah, I can do those errands some other time.” He wrapped an around around the human boy. “What's important right now is me hanging out with my boyfriend.” A small blush swept across their cheeks. Very rarely do they say 'boyfriend' to each other though it's true. They chuckled at how silly they are. “So, what would you like to do now?”

“Well, I know for certain that I’m exhausted from using my brain all night.” (F/n) let his full weight lean on Jack. The spirit wasn't too strong so he soon collapsed onto the bed. They laughed. “I'm tired.”

“Then you should sleep.” Jack pointed out bluntly.

“Mm.” (F/n) cuddled to Jack. “Are you able to stay tonight?”

The frost spirits pale complexion grew red. “U-uhm... Yeah. Would you like me to stay tonight?”

His boyfriend smiled. “I'd love it if you could.” A yawn forced its way through and he covered his mouth. “Especially if I could cuddle up to you.”

Jack convinced himself that (f/n) was already half asleep and talking about anything on his mind. He smiled, situating them both on the bed. “You really want to cuddle up to me?” (F/n) nodded. “I didn't know you were a cuddler.” Jack laughed as his boyfriend mumbled something. Comfortable and tired as well, Jack pulled the blanket over the both. He kissed (f/n) on the lips then on his forehead. “Sleep well, (f/n).”

The (nationality) cuddled up to Jack some more, quickly falling asleep, but on mumbled sentence that Jack caught caused the frost spirit's face to blossom red and smile bright. “I love you.” Jack silently replied the same sentence as he closed his eyes, falling asleep along side his sweet, caring, busy boyfriend.
