Description
Well here is another animal drawing that i just finished. This one measures 11x14 like the other ones and is done in pencil on bristol vellum. This one was more of a texture project, i want to improve on drawing fur, especially short hair. Well i hope you enjoy this one. Take Care.Related content

ugh...i have a bunch of questions to ask you regarding your techniques! all of your work is so awesome! so my first will be : Do you use the grid technique with a photo reference?

chandito In reply to ZoMaru [2006-11-06 03:08:26 +0000 UTC]
thanks. yes i use the grid for composition, it makes it much easier, the hard part is filling in those lines . I use photos for textures and any other things that i want to add to the drawing.

wow this is exquisite! the fur is gorgeous. Nice work.
It's a shame that the pencil lines show up on the dark bits, but I'm assuming this is just the scan/photo that is doing that and they can't be seen on the original drawing.

thank you, yeah my scanner catches those lines because of reflection, but it shows that its a drawing and not a photograph .

haha yeah, that's the trouble with photorealism, people think it's a photo and just move on.

a really nice pic of a cute animal. congrats!
critique (imho): it's too grey. try to adjust the contrast in your image-editing software....
