Description
Finally finished it. It took much longer than i expected and mostly because of the texture. This pine cone wouldn't have been a pine cone without the texture. You can check out previous updates by going here [link]The purpose of this drawing was to prepare me for the next one. My next drawing will have similar textures as this one and by working on this one it will be an easy transition when i start it. I know its overkill doing a whole new drawing to practice another one, but i can tell you that its a great way to practice. You can see the size of my next drawing will be by going here [link] . I also learned lots about pine cones
The drawing of the serval is 11x14 so you can see how large it will be. The size of the paper ill be using will 30x40. You can see how large it will be and it will be a first for me so im really excited about that one. I would like to thank everyone that has followed the progress on this one and for the support.

Great to see the finished drawing - super job! I can't wait to see your next project. I really love the detail and how you somehow make me see the rich brown tones of the pine cone - even though it's just graphite. I can practically feel the variations in texture from smooth to rough and pointy. Thanks so much for sharing the process with us!

best advice i can give you is for you to practice and to study what you're going to be drawing before you actually pick up the pencil.
