This was spawned from a conversation I had with my roommate We were discussing all the stories people tell about God and Satan, half way through I started to laugh and said, "Satan sounds like a 3 year old with a snow globe." One thing lead to another and I drew this.God is the girl and Satan is the boy. In reality I don't think God or Satan have any actual gender, but I think that they possess the traits of one.
God is the gentle one and possesses all the traits of a mother, so if I had to give God a gender I'd say God was female. Her color scheme comes from Yin which is represented by the color black and represents peace and all feminine characteristics. It has part of Yang in it as well, which is why God's eyes are white.
Satan isn't technically bad, but there's no doubt he's the violent one, so if I had to give Satan a gender I would say Satan was male. His color scheme comes from Yang which is represented by the color white and represents violence and all male characteristics. It has part of Yin in it as well, which is why Satan's eyes are black.
So there you have it
expect to see more of these two in the future.(c) This version of God and Satan belong to me.

Something like that. Well that, and the fact that god and Jesus said slavery was 'A Okay. However Satan is a decent lady, all she ever wanted is for humanity to have a little fun with our short lives. I have fun knowing that these stories are highly unlikely to be real and only serve me and others to scare the shit out of religious people.
Like my father always says " Religious people are just playing pretend. Not knowing reality is apart of the game."

First off, I love this picture. I believe it fits Jehovah and The Fallen One well. I also believe that the meanings of black and white are not set, but can be used for either good or evil. Like that anime, D. N. Angel (Dark and Krad) lol. Although pure and holy at the start, white is easily tarnished and corrupted, while black remains constant no matter how misleading it may be. White is usually used to describe holiness and the higher classes of evil, while black is commonly known as primarily evil with traces of good and/or neutrality spread throughout. I've seen evil like that and it's not pleasant, especially when it's your twin brother. It is in my belief that Jehovah, or God, is in fact female, however absent She may be at the moment, and The Fallen one, or Satan, Beezlebub, and the Devil, are male. The reason Lucifer fell was not that he wanted to tell humans the truth, but that he disobeyed God and loved Her/Him more than humans. God ordered all angels to love humans more than anything, even God Herself, but Lucifer could not bring himself to do that. He may have been in love with God, not just loving Her as an angel loves his God/dess.
And completely off that topic lol: When I draw, I don't think about what I want it to mean. I simply channel whatever I'm feeling at the moment down my arm, through the pencil, and onto the paper. I worry about naming it when it's done.

I read a book where God was presented as a black woman that reminded me of Queen Latifa, and I felt very happy.

Yeah, Satan, like all angels, has no true gender, neither does God. But I see what you're saying. And well . . Satan did corrupt himself trying to become higher than God, but everyone's entitled to their own views.

Wanna know a secret? I actually feel kinda appalled by the way people came to depict characters like Satan and his disciple, Lilith (Adam's first wife, less subservient than Eve). They started out as inventive individuals who had personal values that just happened to contradict those of God: Satan stood for letting humans know the truth rather than be blindly obedient, and Lilith of course was the first feminist. But over time, religious groups turned them into symbols of the ultimate evil who wanted to decieve mortals and dominate the universe! The original concept got lost!
Is it so wrong to stand up for what you believe in? Surely even God can't be right ALL the time?

It saddens me as well when I hear things like that, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions, all you can do is to state your own in a calm manor and accept that theirs is different than yours. Though I am of the opinion that it is important to know where ideas and concepts came from and how and why the were changed. I think it helps us to grow.
Now that's a tricky question. In my interpretation of God I don't think she can be "wrong" at least not in the way we think of it. Of course it is important to stand up for your beliefs, but in doing so I think you should do your best to to cause harm to anyone.
Of course this is all my own opinion and interpretation, please do not take offense if it has clashed with any of your own beliefs.
