FINALLY!!! I've wait SOOOOOOO long for this and it's only one episode away! My fav arc in HXH,The Chimera Ant arc!On the right side I drew The Infiltration squad (Gon, Knuckle, Killua, Shoot, Ikalgo, Morel, Meleoron and Palm)along with Komungi on top.
while on the left side is The 3 Royal Guards(Neferpitou, Menthuthuyoupi and Shaiapouf),The Squadron Leaders(Bloster, Welfin, Leol, Cheetu and Zazan) and the mighty Ant King himself on top. I would explain what I drew the middle but I just let you guys figure it out when it gets to that part in the anime. Get ready for EPIC fights from left to right, INSANE nen abilities, an awesome cast of NEW characters, and emotional TURMOIL! This arc goes from light hearted to dark and depressing in the blink of an eye! You new fans won't look at Gon the same way again after this arc. All I gotta say is get ready for one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride!

And thanks man. At least you know Gon and Killua though(yet I drew him in his new form "spoiler"). My two favs outta the new cast of heroes are the guy with the pompadour next to Gon,his name's Knuckle and that guy with the sunglasses holding that giant gold pipe, his name is Morel and They are BAD ASS! And outta the villains side watch out for that crazy-looking cat eared girl on the bottom facing Gon,that giant blue guy behind her(it's weird because he was blue in the manga and now he's gonna be red in the anime) and MOST OF ALL the green guy on top(can I getta OP)!
Well yeah to sum it up this is the best arc besides the York New city arc in HXH(as of right now)and you'll PROBABLY tear up at the end. So enjoy the Epicness! XD

Just got done with the new episode.... opening is still the same, but now I think it would be weird to completely change it now lol.

I guess it's gonna be like Yu Yu Hakusho, where they only use one opening through out the entire series(in other words they are TRYING to make this theme a classic). IMO, the old series handled OPs better while this new version has better EDs.
Most of the episode was filler by the way(the flash back with Ging and Kite,the part where Kite uses his Crazy Slots ability and the ant attacking Killua) and it was SUPER weird that Kite and Gon didn't recognize each other right away like in the manga. I mean this guy is SUPPOSE to be Gon's hero. The Iruka to Naruto, The Shanks to Luffy.
Overall, I was kinda "EH" about THIS episode(I guess I'm acting super critical about this because these little details are REALLY crucial later in this arc). I'm still kinda bummed about them not showing the ACTUAL flashback where Kite saves Gon,but what can you do? Well it's a good thing that I told you about it before hand. At least now that THIS is outta the way,we can get to the gruesome stuff within the next two episodes(assuming they don't add anymore filler). XD

I didn't even know it was filler, but I didn't mind it too much, because I was just excited to see the exposition episode of the arc that's been given so much hype thus far xD I really hope it lives up to expectations, and that it wasn't over-hyped...

You'll understand why I always RANT about this "Kite flashback" soon enough(you'll probably agree with me when the time comes).
Well you'll get a TASTE of the INSANITY when Kite takes Gon and Killua to "NGL"(which should be soon). A certain "someone" from an earlier arc is going to return pretty soon with his new nen ability.
Dude, I wouldn't have recommended HXH to you with as much confidence if it weren't for THIS particular arc. I literally put it on the same pedestal as the CP9 arc in One Piece.But the HUGE difference between THIS and most shonen arcs is the ENDING. Most people probably think that the finale is some HUGE show down between the Ant King and Gon but it ISN'T. This arc gets REALLY psychological towards the ending.You'll PROBABLY question who the "REAL monster" is when it gets to that point(you'll understand what I mean by THAT when the time comes). Like I said before, it's a BEAUTIFUL ending for the antagonists and a TRAGIC ending for the protagonists.
TRUST ME, the words "over-hyped" and "Chimera Ant arc" DO NOT belong in the same sentence. The reason I even watched this reboot up until now was to see THIS. THIS arc is where Most of the main power-houses all appear in one place. Hunters Chimera Ants,The Troupe,Zoldycks and The strongest nen user in "this" world, all in ONE GIANT arc.It sucks that there's no Hisoka,Kurapika and Leorio but they all appear in the next arc.
By the end of all this,I GUARANTEE, you won't even THINK about putting those 2 words in the same sentence. All I gotta say is get ready for one HELL of a roller coaster ride and enjoy

I mean they are probably going to have to do what they did with the Killua heart scene in the Hunter exams. I just hope they don't censor TOO much because the "violence" adds to the DARK atmosphere of this arc.

Considering how fast they went through G.I., I think it'll only take 5 episodes tops to get to the intense parts. I'm just waiting for when Pitou first arrives. I think we both know how THAT's gonna turn out.

Trust me it didn't look appealing to me either at first but if you actually watch it all the way through you see That this is the most tragic,violent and in depth arc in the whole series.You'll see Gon go through a change that most protagonist never go through. This arc is why people say HXH is a dark shonen. All I gotta say is that the ending is sad on both the hero and villain side. This arc is what separates HXH from most of the shonen manga out today.
I'd give it a chance if I were you.

I just finished watching the episode and I saw a clip of the queen and the flashback with KITE!!!
Finally AFTER 70-something episodes, they decide to show KITE!! I'M SO HYPED!!! Finally Kite,Knuckle,the Troupe's nen abilities,Pitou,Netero,the King and Gon's "DARK SIDE"! Too many things to look forward to! I had to draw it to get some of my the excitement out! Next weeks is the WEEK! People will never look at Gon the same way after this arc.

YEP my fav arc in all of Hunter x Hunter is finally going to be animated next week. I watched the previous anime a few years back and it only goes up to GI. So I had to read the manga from that point on. And now 5 years later, it's finally going to get animated for the first time. People will get to see how dark HXH can REALLY get when this arc shows next week.

I read a good portion of HunterxHunter, before I stopped reading it. I am not really sure, but it was past the point of the eating competition, learning about the assassin's family, and getting in a fight, after riding on the ship. I do not know, if my remembrance of these events mean anything to you. Sorry, it has been a while since I read HXH.

I saw it, freaked out, and imideatly went to the next page
It took like 5 whole minuted b4 a was able to flip back and read the rest of the page XD
