Personality:
Akuji is a straight forward, cruel, and quick minded when manipulating others. She is strong both physically and mentally due to all the trauma she has been through growing up. She doesn’t like having to try hard in anything and is easily annoyed and angered by others stupidity, but she will put up with you if she likes you. She has a weakness against cute guys (although she rarely finds anyone cute) and becomes easily embarrassed when around one. Besides tonfas, she is good at hand to hand combat. She likes strawberries.

Brief History:

Akuji lived in the West District with her twin sister, Keaira. The two of them were abandoned at birth and lived in an orphanage until they were able to make a living on their own. They were practically inseparable, but one day Keaira went missing and was presumed dead soon after, leaving Akuji alone in the world. Akuji believes that her sister is still alive so she continues to live in the West District hoping Keaira would eventually return. Akuji had given Keaira the star and moon necklace when they were younger, but when Keaira disappeared, it was left behind. She wears it to remind herself of the burden she carries. Keaira always referred to her and her sister as the star and moon, respectively. A year after Keaira's disappearance Akuji tattooed a star onto her face so her sister would always be able to find her.

Personality:
Akuji is mature, self-reliant, and independent. She tends to do things her own way and reserved most of the time because of that she is constantly feeling alone, but she has a hard time getting along with others. She is a capable person and is proud of it. Akuji is competitive sometimes and confident in her abilities. She can also be ruthless and deceitful at times.

What other aspects of her can you explain?
-She has a hate for child abuse and any other type of abuse due to her past and she also hates it when people insult her sister.
-She is easily annoyed.

Trauma:
1. Her parents abandoning them
2. The disappearance of Keaira at the age of 17. Her sister was presumed dead (although her body wasn't found) due to the fact that she had no records of her
leaving and going anywhere after her disappearance and could not be located by search and sightings.

Her physical and mental strength?
When she went through her traumas she became emotionally unstable sometimes and she would constantly pick fights with others off the street. She became strong physically due to trial and error from all those fights. During those times her sister would help her back on her feet, but after her sister’s disappearance she had no one to rely on anymore and became even more reckless than ever. She was at breaking point when she met a small child one day who was beaten and bruised. After talking to the child, she learned that he was a victim of child abuse, but he would still smile no matter how bad it was. After the child died due to a horrible beating from his parents, Akuji developed a hate for abuse and couldn't understand why a person's own parents would do such a thing. The child had taught her that she had to live on no matter what and so she decided to live on for him, her sister, and for herself.

How do others see her?
Others see her as intimidating and unwelcoming compared to her kind hearted and helpful sister. The reason it helped her build mental strength was because Keaira was the one thing in the world that actually meant something to her and when she disappeared Akuji went through a breakdown, but after being able to find a reason for living again she no longer has anything to become emotionally unstable and traumatized for.

When she is annoyed, can she hold it in or does she take it out on others?
Usually, she can hold it in. She can bottle up most of her emotions inside of her, but there is always a breaking point and things that pushes her buttons. The only thing she isn't able to handle maturely is bringing up the topic of her sister and that child.

Can she be civil?
She’s civil unless she's provoked if that’s the case she has no problems ripping some guts out.

Writing Sample:

Akuji felt the rage bubbling inside of her. She was this close to snapping their heads off. She knew she could, but she saw that a few people were still wandering around. She didn’t like standing out which was funny considering she had dyed her hair blue earlier that day.

She had to admit, they had guts. It was rare that a guy would come try to make a move on her, but a gang of them?

They’ve got to be kidding me.

“Please leave me alone.” She whimpered slightly to tempt them. They seemed content at her reaction and one of them reached over to stroke her hair. She felt disgusted.

They moved closer, surrounding her like a hungry pack of wolves ready to jump on their prey. The sun was beginning to set. The people in the streets were now gone. She looked down and smiled. This was her chance.

She punched the guy closest to her in the stomach and laughed as he fell onto the ground. He groaned in pain while the rest of them stood frozen, startled by her sudden change in attitude. She bent over and grabbed him by the collar.

“You’re 100 years too early to hit on me.” She threw him towards the others who were thrown back by his weight. She cracked her knuckles, “but while you’re at it . . . Why we don’t have some fun?”
