Description Because the word "sublimation" is rather cool and I wanted to use it for some reason...

There is still this annoying line that didn't want to go away in this. Β I tried so many types of blurs and workarounds to try to remove it, and the only way to remove it was to make everything blurred into oblivion...so I decided to just leave it in.

Apo + Chaotica

Amazing colors and energy. I really love zooming in on the details, because it looks plastic in a way that is hard to pinpoint.Β

Huh. Just noticed the line you were speaking of. I quite like it actually zen in the middle of a storm.

the line is not an issue, trust me. the picture is amazing in every detail. the focused parts and the blur, the dynamic shapes and the selection of colours. everything's great

What line is so annoying?

There's this vertical line slightly to the right of the image's center...

Ah yes, now I see it Do you have photoshop? You could just select the thin line and use the content aware fill to get it out easily

I did try that and didn't really like the results (some of the area changed fine, other parts didn't work so well) ... it could be that I didn't look at it with an objective opinion after detaching myself from the edits for a short period of time though.

Hmm alright, perhaps it'll look fine, as a viewer you'll probably won't notice it ifΒ  it would be filled

Wow this is amazing. And using the word sublimation is a really good choice(if you ask me). It really looks like something is turning to smoke.

ChaosFissure In reply to DrRainb0w [2015-03-05 15:34:57 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much Β The smoke is a bit different, as that type of "smoke" blends away with the highlights and shadows when I deal with curves, but it didn't in this particular case. Β I like how it looks, but it wasn't what I was expecting going into this!

What did you use to make it? Do you know any free programs that can paint art of this quality? I'm under 18 so I don't have a credit card and I'm broke so I can't get photoshop. Is there any free programs that can make professional art like this one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ChaosFissure In reply to GAM3RG33K2014 [2015-03-05 05:15:53 +0000 UTC]

Read the description of the artwork near the bottom (and on the left side of my profile if you scroll down for some resources); I list the programs I use to make it. Β One of them is freeware, the other only has a license to it if you want to render above certain resolutions.

And "professional" or not, I'm still just a hobbyist when it comes to making artwork.

Personally, I'd feel that Mordor would be a bit darker and oppressive, but I am very honored to hear my artwork contains a similar emotional impact to work by artists such as Tolkien

And deserts turn to glass plains

Had to search quiet a while for the line you mentioned^^ Its not so adly visible, but I can see why it was bugging you!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ChaosFissure In reply to Ganjamira [2015-03-02 03:39:58 +0000 UTC]

Glass deserts could be really cool looking...and creepy nonetheless! Β Though what would be amazing would be that happening to beaches -- imagine all the glass sand castles!

Yes, the line is a bit more subtle than I made it out to be. Β If I felt it was way too overpowering I probably wouldn't have uploaded it, but as it seemed minor, and there were not convenient ways of removing it, I just let it be.

Thanks for the comment

Until the it deposes into an icy, crystalline concoction of doom! Β

Perhaps it is land, perhaps it is not. Β I honestly don't know the answer to that! Β I just liked the billowing clouds, and the word sublime got lodged in my head somehow!

Thank you very much Β

I'm most impressed with how much of fire this is and how little of a vibrant red exist; it's mostly yellow and white colors that make it stand out (or is it black and blue , the color temperature of your room may vary XD ). Β I really like the red/black streaks on the left side of the image, personally.
