Oh I like this one really much. I can see at it and each time there is something diffrent.
This time I see feathers.

There's definitely something feathery there texturally!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHdf8j⦠is probably the best (and only) full timelapse I have of making something, thought I do want to do more of these soon!

Can you allow us to view in true-resolution, you may apply a watermark in settings.

This /is/ the true resolution. Β I purposely don't render it bigger.

Would you like to prefer, to a Mac? And well than, I would request you to render with 1600x1000 atleast than.
I would like to know your computer configuration, if it's custom, I would like to offer further recommendation in possible foreseeable upgrade.

reminds me both of a rooster and the cosmos... the color composition is beautiful.

The story and "scene" is inspired by the legend of Phaethon, and hence the title of the image. Β You're not the first person to say it looks like a rooster though

Β great works you have ! I do not know yet which media you use with your works. I read this commentation chain later . Got lost a little bit with accident, amnesia. I like to watch art to cheer me up a little and that is why I signed in this site. All the best to You and for everybody !

Thank you for your kind words  I use fractals to create my artwork -- if you'd like to know more about them, feel free to ask me!  You can see a timelapse of my creation process here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHdf8j⦠, though it is for a different image I made.
I wish you the best as well for this coming year, and am glad that my artwork is something that might add a little brightness to your day

This is amazing! I hope to learn how to become better at both Apophysis and Chaotica.
Do you combine the images together after they're made or do you open one up in the other? For example, an Apophysis file opened in Chaotica or vice versa.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHdf8j⦠<- I spam this link far too often, but it's literally the best way I can explain my workflow and how I use Chaotica and Apophysis visually.
I always start out in Apophysis because Chaotica's interface is too unresponsive for my initial design stage, but move to Chaotica once I have gotten a reasonable base and gradient selected. Β I often use UltraFractal to design gradients -- if I don't already have an interesting gradient or want something very specific that I don't already have. Β At this stage,Β I often move back and forth between Apophysis and Chaotica (copy Apo params, paste directly into Chaotica), as I do lots of "draft" work in Apophysis, move it to Chaotica to see if anything can come from it, and then go back to Apo to do something different if it isn't successful.
I may or may not try streaming fractal stuff over the weekend (!!), so if you want to see / chat / something, you're welcome to join in if I'm doing that.
Does this answer your question?

Solid work, good cyanic/red color choice. Although probably a necessity, I think the text detracts from the overall experience. Still a well made work.

ChaosFissure In reply to Senecal [2015-02-11 02:55:39 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! Β The color scheme was a bit of a wild decision at the time, but I don't have any regrets about how it turned out.
In an ideal world, I'd upload significantly larger resolutions without watermarks. Β But as various people around the interwebs think all art can be used without restriction, and as even respectable, well-known universities have used my artwork in promotional settings without obtaining my permission, it's better to be safe than sorry in this regard.Β

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with the term "splash art;" can you elaborate on what that is?
π: 0 β©: 1
TravisBlack1997 In reply to ChaosFissure [2015-01-13 02:56:42 +0000 UTC]
It's just something I like to use when I see art that looks like ocean waves with different colors making it look like it was splashing on the canvas.

Great Artwork! Not only the colors are awesome, it gives me this super light impression β¦β¦ like feathers.
Up till this point I thought fractals are more focused on clear structure, thanks for teaching me different. This is very enjoyable!

Wow, this looks amazing! It's very different from usual fractal art that I've seen!
It reminds me of a flower, for some reason, and birds.
