It's a fairly subdued rainbow of colors that isn't overzealously saturated. I often go contrast- and saturation-happy in my art (or at least feel like I do when it comes to reds and blues), but clearly something more relaxed can be just as effective as gut punches of color.
Thanks

I thought for a moment then Sylvia had made an error and given a DD to a water painting instead of a fractal! Beautifully done!!

The amount of texture that fractals can exhibit, and how you can alter it with strategic blurring and coloring, is really something magical I love how those textures look myself, and always am psyched when I can emulate textures of brushstrokes or other mediums in my artwork.Β Thank you!

It's great to be able to do that. One of the few of mine the keeps getting stolen and posted elsewhere is a seascape done with JWildfire and I love it when I do a reverse image search through google one of the pages it brings up is a water painting wiki

Amazing result Sam! This is really something unique, with so much attention to coloring, details and especially mood, way to push the boundaries of Apophysis!

Thank you!Β I can't say I feel I'm pushing boundaries the same ways I was years ago when freeform fractals were mostly unknown, but I'm still glad that the medium itself never ceases to yield surprises after all these years Β

Awesome, in several ways. Just don't tell us you did the whole thing in 5 minutes, OK?

My artwork takes on average six to eight hours to complete.Β I spend a substantial time working on coloring and shapes, and this took far longer than usual since I wanted to push the coloring of the seas and the objects in the skies.

I think the hardest part of balancing the colors was making the blues and purples near the bottom lighter, as they faded to black fairly quickly when there was more contrast present in this.Β I'm still not entirely convinced at the bottom left corner, but I certainly am very content with how everything turned out!Β Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoy it ^_^Β I always hope that sharing my artwork allows people to feel similar energy and inspiration like it does when I'm in the process of creating something!

Thank you Β I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with this fractal; despite being really nothing special structurally, I had the right combination of colors in some earlier experiments that reminded me of a landscape.Β I'm really happy how I was able to push and work with that concept!
