I've watched a lot of mecha anime recently and got inspired to try out a concept of my own.I'm still working on the design and colour scheme of the titular super robot, as well as trying to come up with a sutable name for it (I've been playing around a bit with the word "diabolus" which is latin for devil). In this pic he's seen battling some of the storys monsters, capable of combining with each other in order to form larger and more powerful forms.

Thank you for the kind words. I've only got End of EVA left to see and I watched Gunbuster about a month ago. I think it was pretty good and the ending managed to bring a tear to my eye. But when I recently watched the sequel, DieBuster, and got to the end of it, I nearly bawled my eyes out. It was just so damn touching.

REALLY? I have heard such mixed things about Diebuster. Dammit,and I just ordered the Gunbuster set only... And let me know where you found End of Eva. I cannot find that dvd anywhere for anything. Guess I have to use eBay?

Yeah, I've heard some people complain about the different art sryle and it being a bit more over the top, but having already watched Gurren Lagann before either of the two, I had no problem with it whatsoever.

Over the top is fine. Gurren Lagann? I have never heard of it. Anyway, keep going with your mecha work here. You brought your style to it well. I am glad to have met someone else who Liked Hideaki Anno's anime work (Eva, Gunbuster). Diebuster actually looked good. FLCL however looked bizarre ...

Yeah, I watched FLCL just recently and half the time I was wondering what the hell I was watching. But you haven't heard of Gurren Lagann? Blasphemy I say! Just kidding, but It's one of Gainax more recent mecha anime and is, in my humble opinion at least, made of all kinds of awesome. I watched some online I do need to see more. GAINAX is crazy. Read up on Rebuild 1 and 2. Oh my God is 2 bizarre. At first I was down on the Rebuild series but now it is a must see.

Really great use of values and perspective here. The robot's design is badass and the fact that he's fighting three Ultraman-esque kaiju at once is superb.
