Great detailβ¦curious to how big the actual piece is itself?
Great character designs, think you pulled it off exceptionally well.
My only critique would be maybe darken the background a tad more to bring the creatures in the foreground out a little clearerβ¦they kind of get lost in the intensity of the atmosphere (that may have been your intention?). nevertheless my friend, love the piece, and I must say that the angle youβve chosen to do it in worked out perfectly. Kind of gives that feeling of chaos and panic on the viewerβs behalf.

didn't know they had an art contest there.. was it a "on the spot" contest or soemthing?
critwise, maybe work your darks and lights to puch some of the elements & figures into the foreground/background.. (ie the scythe on the lictor's arm in the forground kinda looks liek maybe an arm from the one behind it) thats really the only thing i can point out at this time.. the figures are nicely done, the elite has a really dimensional feel
