Description EDIT: Replaced original image with a newer, clearer one, and darkened the lines, though it's still going to be in negative.

Wow, I suck at drawing in the Pochantas movies art style. Oh well, I never cared for the movie anyway.

So, Meeko the Raccoon, somehow caught in some rope and now has hours of tickles to look forward to for all the trolling he does to that poor dog.

Characters belong to Disney.

Very nice picture.

It is also interesting that you show a negative version of your sketch. I was recently playing with the idea of "negative picture", it is somehow funny to try to make out the way the shadows should be placed in order obtain an original piece of work. The only example I have within reach is this one: [link]

Thanks very much for that.

Hm, I actually didn't think of that. That's quite an interesting idea, actually.

Adorable picture!

I really don't see what makes it bad in your eyes, looks Disney-ish to me.

Well, I guess you could say I have kind of a perfectionist mentality. But, I really wasn't actively trying to draw in this movies style for the most part, so that was really more of me taking a jab at myself.

Ah.. Great job!

The inverted color is a pretty good touch, too. Makes it look like night time, which makes sense, since you don't see raccoons during the day.

Well, that wasn't exactly what I intended when I inverted it. I was really doing it because I wanted to separate my sketch uploads from everyone else who uploads sketches.

How very anti-conformism of you! Great first sketch to do it to (due to the previous-stated irony).

Are you going to be doing it to future sketches as well?

Well, I'm sure you won't have to wait long to find out.

A Disney raccoon being tickled silly, how can I not appreciate this? I think you do a fine job of drawing in the style of the movie facially, and I'm glad you deviate from the style where you do. Feet and hands in that movie were particularly blocky, I think.

Also, why did you do this in negative? Just playing with style?

Why, thanks for your opinion on that. I was originally going to try and implement the blocky hands and feet, but my attempts didn't impress me. So I decided to use a different method. I'm glad that people prefer it that way.

As for having this in negative, yes, style has a thing to do with it. I decided I wanted my sketches, if I didn't have time to color them, to stand out against the rest that seem to be uploaded on DA more frequently now. Oh, and because I thought it would be fun to deviate from the watchers comfort zones and screw with their heads a little. You know, the usual reasons I do the things I do.
