Description
A lil faery dragon flutter who exists because I wanted to try out 's style of wings, not sure if I pulled it off... I drew the wings first then created the lil dragon to go with them. I love her fae dragon/critters, so here we have Draelis tealnewcombii >.> yay for making up own Latin names! This rare dragon species can be found only where there is high magic available in the air, this is usually also where the floating enchanting forests can be found. This guy also shares the same page in my sketch book as my previous black and white flutter dragon who now seem amused at this pastel rainbow fae. If I could get a decent scanner this would probably look better. Still learning how to do the shading on the wings...hmm.
Watercolour pencils on paper, artwork (c) to me.

I love this little dragon.
Are you currently selling any artwork? I'm interested in using this on a book cover.

I believe I still have the original of this little guy somewhere. It is in one of my sketchbooks, about A5 in size.
I've only just started to think about selling my work. Not had that many people asking so I still thinking on prices. Where you interested in anything else?
What is the book about if you don't mind me asking?

I'm writing a series of middle-grade books (ages 9-14) that feature tiny dragons. I'd love to use the little dragon on all the covers.
I'd be happy to include your deviantart contact info inside the book, too, if you'd like.
Does $35 sound fair to you for the original?
If you're interested in checking out what I write, my website is www.jaletac.com This series is my first venture into middle-grade. Most of what I write is YA and up.
And I love a lot of your art. If you start selling prints, I'll line up for them!

Haha, I love the latin name <3
This is gorgeous. The colors and the cute little scales are lovely, I'm honored that my work inspired you to create something so beautiful

I think it is quite lovely, and you can evolve it into your own style growing forth from her inspiration.

Thank you, I feel the wings came out too similar to one of her pieces which is not what I was intending, I was just happy to finish him though.
