Holy Christmas, I didn't think I gonna be able to pull this one off. Partly because of the sheer amount of detail and Monster X is hard af to draw. I actually had to do a rough sketch of what I wanted him to look like before putting him in the poster.

Overall this took me at least the whole weekend to do and I'm super proud of how it turned out. I remember watching this movie back in 2020 (I think) and really liked it, especially the second half.

So for the poster itself I decided to go all out, Godzilla's at the bottom with Minila at his side, Monster X is looking down on him with an evil grin and some other kaiju on the side. I thought it would be fun to portray them as possessed as that's kinda what happens in the movie except here Monster X is controlling them. I also have Gigan seemingly emerging from a snowy mountain (as a reference to the first monster fight scene in the film) and the meteor in the background on a collision course towards Earth.

*Whew* Well that was quite a bit. But as I said I'm super proud of this drawing and will defiantly be doing more Godzilla movie posters in the future.

UPDATE 4/10/22: Ok, so I probably shouldn't be the person to point this out but I realized I forgot the "D" in Godzilla. But don't worry I will have this fixed as soon I have the time! (And maybe I'll redo some of the shading)

UPDATE 4/12/22: Thank god I have a free period in school this semester! After two more days of revising I'm happy to announce that I've officially fixed the poster.
You might notice that some of the shading and colors are the slightly different, that's because I want to fix a few things that I felt weren't super good in the original drawing. But I kept everything else the same!
I'm very sorry for the typo but I'll try to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future. But that's all part of the fun and mistakes only make us better!
Again I'm super proud of this drawing typo or no typo, and like I said there will be many more Godzilla movie posters in the future, I'm thinking about GMK, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1, Terror, and 2, and Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla.
