Description
In the third arch of Sonic Universe, Knuckles returns in his own seperate story years after the end of his own series. In "Echoes of the Past", Knuckles, Julie-Su and Mighty are on the hunt for Dr. Finitevius after escaping the events of "Enerjak: Reborn". With a little help from the Dingo Army, they find the doc's stronghold in the ruins of an ancient civilization filled with traps. Meanwhile, Vector and Ray are on Master Emerald guard when they are attacked by robotic forces as they pass over the former resting place of Angel Island, the Downunda.
When Knuckles and friends end up chasing the villians to the surface, they team up with the Downunda Freedom Fighters for an even bigger fight when Finitevius reveals his alligance with the new Dark Egg Legion chapter of the Eggman Empire; the Platypuse Legion. Led by Finitevius and former Freedom Fighter, Duck Bill, Angel Island is chained to the surface with the Master Emerald in the doctor's grasp.
New and old faces, deceptions and mysteries building up, as it all culminates in a Chaos powered fist fight between Knuckles and Dr. Finitevius.
