Yay, I have film priviledges now! One of these days I'll use it to upload my senior animation, just as soon as I figure out why it doesn't seem to want to play. :<Anyway, this my entry into this year's Savanijam, a 24-hour animation competition hosted by SCAD's animation club. (This was my entry last year) The task was to create an animated short within 24 hours that fit the surprise theme. This year's theme was Tension.
Oh, and this has sound!
Yay! It's not much, though......Ah, and I wasn't able to color one shot in the short within the time frame. .__. Poo.

That's so kewl, how did you do that ?? I've done like, two flash animations but they really suck... how did you do it? did you use flash or anything?

Yup, this was all in Flash. The majority of this film was done using traditional animation techniques: 24 frames per second, a new drawing every other frame. I don't like using too many of those Flash tweening tools, they make animation feel too stiff.

That's so cool! I start my freshman year at SCAD in just under two weeks and looking at your animations just makes me look forward to it more and more
How was the 24-hour animation experience. I've only heard stories of 24-hour comic days (which I hear SCAD also hosts).

The 24 hour Savanijam is great fun. Remember to bring a toothbrush, because 24 hours without brushing your teeth is an unpleasant experience. ._. And, of course, it's tough to stay up that late. But it's definitely loads of fun and well worth the experience (and the chance at prize money).
