Description
This past Spring quarter at SCAD, we were given a scratchboard assignment as one of our last projects in my Sequential Materials and Techniques class. We were to make a 3-panel comic and it had to include certain textures.Well, the last day of class I went to scan my scratchboard at the computer lab. The scan didn't turn out well, so I went back to my room, thinking I had put the pic back in my portfolio, and planned on scanning it when I got back to Virginia. Well, I move back home for summer break only to discover I had left my scratchboard in the scanner back in the computer lab in Georgia.
... Still, I liked the composition, so I figure I'd just upload my rough draft, a colored-pencil version of what I planned to do in scratchboard. If I do find it in September, I'll upload it here and move this pic to scraps. If it's gone for good, then this'll be all I've got of it. :/ Shame, since I loooooved my scratchboard.
Aaaanyway, I'm still fond of this pic. I really like maneating plants, I think.

Aw man I'm sorry about your board. I always leave my stuff in scanners too ^^'. I hope you get yours back though.

man, that sucks you lost the scratch board piece! But even this rough draft is very cool to look at. Very animated, and again, I love it! ^^

Oh my gosh, you left your scratchboard... x.x Was that the lion one?? Cause you spent like a week on that. Or something. Man.
You and your plants! I like the expression on this one.

Aww... That's so unfair what happened to the scratchboard. I hope you get it back.
And for a rough, this is really good. I suck at roughs myself, especially the "OMGREALLDDETAILED" Tom Lyle roughs. I feel like I get burned out on making the rough super detailed and don't do a good job on the project itself.
But enough about me, this looks really cool and looks like it would be great as a scratchboard peice. Like I said, I hope you get it back. I'll keep a look out for it for you.

Oh yeah, Lyle roughs are the toughest! It's like you have to do the project twice!

A man-eating plant as opposed to a man---- Hmmm, perhaps I don't want to know.
