Click Download for full viewA new model sheet for Drake, since the last one was over a year old and very out-of-date. Chances are I'll wind up updating it in another year, haha. I included a bit of understructure breakdown, to show how Drake's snout works, because I know it's not always very clear. :3
Drake Kingson, star pitcher of his school's baseball team, and son of the local police chief. Aspires to be a homicide detective.

I love it. Now I know why I couldn't get his snout before!
I'm having to redo some of my character sheets cause I'm lucky enough to have wrangled SpartanPanda to help me with a web-comic idea; but we have two very different styles. So now we're trying to figure out how each other draws, then figure out how to create a hybrid style we can both draw in.
But this means back to the drawing board. To that end, we're both doing references of heads of some characters to highlight how we draw. Fun, but a bit of work.

Aye. It's not going to be an easy process.
My style is all based off of simplification and iconography to streamline the characters as much as possible.
Be loves details and likes the real structures on animals.
But there must be a way to bridge it and I will try my hardest to find it.

Well, I guess my only suggestion I can offer is to just keep trying to mesh the styles and draw lots of variations. I don't really know how to go about that, since I've never had to do something like that. I've had to copy other people's styles, but never had to fuse two styles. :3

Copying is hard, but SpartanPanda can't mimic my style, and his is far too complicated for me to trully mimic.
Thank you again for the encouragement. He got hit by work, so the projects been put on hold.
The way I was going about doing it was trying to have us each try to draw character in both styles to see what we can and cannot do. Then combine what overlaps. I did get to make his character over into my style though: [link]

Yeah, a height chart is on my eventual to-do list, as well as a basic turnaround for them too. I've only ever done a few model sheets, but I do need to get some for everyone. XD

Haha, his nose is still mysterious! *waves hands spookily* I think it's 'cuz I draw the line that starts his snout, but I don't draw a line to delineate the end of his snout, where a nose usually would be.
One of these days I'll make a maquette, then he'll stop being a mystery. XD
