Gills's:
Born in Pacifidlog Town, he spend also all he life in the water. He's family always told him not to go too far or else he could get lost, but he always wonder what far out from this town and sea. His big brother Marshtomp didn't like Gills's idea of leaving the town and always by he's side, but no matter how many times or how hard he tried to talk gills out of this "outside life" dream of his, Gills feel like he was bigger than some wild pokemon living in a small town. So one night, he knew he could not stand waitting anymore. So after everyone was asleep he swim in the water heading East, but he's big bro was up too and stop him in his track. "I'm not going to tell you once more!" He said, trying to get he's words in Gills's brain. "You cannot leave this place, this your home!" But Gills stood his head up high and siad "I don't care if this is my home, don't you feel like there more out there, just waiting to be seen?" "No!" clam Marshtomp, "You are too young and weak to do anything, don't you know what is out there? You could get eaten! Hurt or-" As Marshtomp was going on and on with his rant, Gills snuck out of his shight, now heading West for the currents. Marshtomp then puased to see if Gills was listening to him, but he was gone and saw him in the currents where now he can't turn back. "GILLS!" He yelled, "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" Gills turn he head and said with a smile, "Where I should be going in life, forward!"

Adrian's:
Born in Cinnabar Island, he always thought he was the ruler of this island, fact was, he was not. There was very little pokemon living on this island and not much to do, so it was easy for him to get bored. Having a fear of water, so he never thought of leaving the island, but the idea did cross his mind a faw times. One day, a new (and unwanted) pokemon come to this island, this pokemon was a Magmar, Adrian did not like this guy, not one bit. He thought by fighting him he could get him off this place, however the plan backfired for Magmar was too strong for him to handle, leaving him fulled with shame. Feeling like he wanted to get away from this place, he spends days thinking how to get off this island, waiting to fully evolve to fly away was out of the question, for he want to leave as quick as possible. And swimming out of here was just crazy! A fire type swimming in the water? Get real! But when he thought all hope was at a loss, a new face pop it head out of the water, one he never seen before. "Hi there" It said. In shock, Adrian just stood there and waved at it. "What's wrong?" It asked, crawling out of the water on the the warm orange sand, show it full body to him. It was a Mudkip, however Adrian had never seen a Mudkip before , or any other kind of pokemon outside of Kanto. But after tell the mud fish pokemon he's stroy and how he wanted to leave the island, the Mudkip got a idea. "I know" the blue pokemon said, "You can ride on my back and I'll swim you out of here. Maybe we can have adventures together." At frist Adrian thought that idea was crazy, but then he thought if there was such a pokemon out there he never knew about before, could there be more? And with that one qustion bubbling in he’s mind, he agreed, and they set sail to whatever lied ahead of them.
