Aha! A little ahead of schedule for once. Things are going to get rather talky talky for the next little bit but I can spoil that there will be quite a bit of action coming relatively soon.
As I said in the journal post, I'm trying out a small something. The little fleeting lines here and there are meant to add a little texture and fill blank space a bit. I will be adjusting things here and there as I go along.

You're fabulous. I laughed out loud at the shot of Bianca in her canon outfit. VERY accurate. I love how that Snivy's drawn too, he's fun. Does he have one little snakey fang? I just adore how you draw your Pokemon, they're really original while staying true to the design, and all the lineart's so clean. I'm just such a fan!

Hah, I'm glad you liked that bit. It was sort of at the last minute but I'm happy to hear people enjoyed that. It's sort of a crack at how I changed her design to something a bit less....floofy I guess? I sometimes regret not giving Cheren the same treatment. Leo actually has two fangs but my weird way of drawing mouths doesn't agree with it. Those sorts of inflections in the design are mostly done to suit my natural way of drawing. The sugimori artwork seems to have a more modest and practical setup while I like to get crazy with posing and expression. I don't know if you do this yourself but I usually double the size of the comic page I'm working with and then size it back down when I'm done. It usually helps to hide some instances of a shaky hand or messy linework.

I'm glad you asked.
I use a combination of photoshop elements 8 and paint tool sai. I sketch things in sai, then I move it to PS for measuring out panels and lettering, I then bring it back to sai for most of the work. inking, flats, toning, highlights, and miscellaneous use of the watercolor and brush tool for some fancier effects. I then bring it back into PS to add a noise filter that gives the comic the grainy look and finish it off with a convergence to greyscale to reduce the file size.
You didn't ask me for my whole process, I know, but I'm assuming you're curious about about a specific technique you see.

Your constant attempts at spicing up the way you draw give each page its own special flair. They each look interesting in their own right based on the different techniques you use, so applaud you for always trying something different!
Bell, like the rest of the cast, has great characterization so far. It's not a huge departure from Bianca in the games, making her an artist, but you did a fine job at adding new dimensions to her character. Her Snivy's fangs added a nice touch IMO, makes it stand out and give it a more sinister, sleeker feel.
And of course the ending XD That's funny. Love me a bit of slapstick, and Sam's the perfect character for that. And of course, Billy's responses are always ace. "Don't get ahead of yourself."
I can tell this will continue to be a fun comic.

Thank you very much. I understand that a lot had to be sacrificed to get to this point. As of right now I've reached one year on DA and I haven't even left the starting town. Of course, one can't judge themselves on these sorts of things. Good comics are very lengthy endeavors that can take years and years of work to get anywhere with it. I hope that you guys come to enjoy what I have in store :3
