Description
High fired ceramic teapot. Handbuilt textured slab contruction. This one is my favorite and I dont think the picture shows it off too well. The glaze came out fantastic, turquoise and red. I'll take some more pics and resubmit if I get a better one. Its about 15" tall.Related content

The unique shape and texture sure give this teapot a character. It looks to me like a waving man with a funny big hat.
I wonder how practical this design is to use, tho...

Thanks. Yeah, though it does pour beautifully, it is actually considered less of a "sculpture" and more of a "vessel" because of it. Many art experts consider functional to be a flaw. So sad.

This one the glaze came out amazing. In ceramics we say it was kissed by the kiln.

How would you know? You are right though and now that you pointed it out I love this teapot less *guilt trip*.

I do really appreciate it. Truth is its why i submit work on DA, so I can get feedback and to see what people like.

Me too. I'm really biased against most of my work, because I always look around and see stuff that is just so much better. It helps to see what other people's opinions are I think.

Thak you, actually I lucked out. This glaze is unpredictable and I took a risk using it on this teapot cause I really wanted it to come out well.

Now that is stunning. I love the colours, they're so vibrant and all the detail on the body. The shape is great, really fitting the title - the spout is like an arm raised in victory

Thank you! This is the one Olin almost broke. I wish you could see it in person, ceramics are so 3D and tactile.
